Lakeside Panthers Football In 2007, Jody Grooms joined Lakeside as Head Coach. This Past season the laskeside football team won a region title for just the 2nd time in school history.

in 3 seasons Former Coach Jody Grooms turned around a program and left to take the head coaching job at Wayne County High School. The transition should be a smooth one for Troxler, who spent the past 3 seasons as assistant head coach and offensive coordinator under Grooms. The Panthers are coming off the best season in school history and to continue to improve moving from 3-AAAA to a subdivided

2-AAAA. The Panthers posted 7 shutouts last season and were one-point loss in overtime away from a perfect regular season. The Panthers fought their way to the top of the region becoming the Region 3 Division AAAA ChampsLakeside Panthers had their best season in school history in 2009 by winning region 3-AAAA and advancing to the second round of the state playoffs before losing to powerhouse Westside-Macon.
