Life has been a lot lately. My fitness has taken the back burner while I’ve been focusing on training my clients, surviving chaos with kids, and dealing with fatigue.

Whenever this happens and I feel like I’m starting over again I always try to go easy on myself and don’t lay on any pressure. If I try to force it or go 100mph it’s easier to burn out or be very hard on myself.

If you ever feel like you’ve fallen back or are starting over, take it one step at a time to get back in. Short, effective workouts are good to help you feel accomplished and confident to get back in it.

Try this 20-30min upper body workout to help jumpstart things again-
🔥Lat Raises, Tricep extensions, heel raises
4 rounds
🔥Tricep push downs and slow mountain climbers
4 rounds
🔥Upward rows & rear delt flyes
4 rounds

I don’t relate to fitness influencers on social media. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I don’t even relate to most of the fit moms on social media.

Honestly, I’d relate to people posting about how their mental health effected their nutrition and workouts this week. I’d relate to people that don’t necessarily love to work out but still try to make it happen when they can. I’d relate to people who’s houses are chaos, who can’t afford meal prep services, and who don’t cook fancy healthy meals.

As much as I want to come on here and talk about how much I love to workout, how “the grind don’t stop”, how I’m so creative with my meals, how I’m super consistent with my workouts but that’s just not my reality. And I feel like other moms need to hear that.

I post workouts on the days I have the emotional bandwidth to do so but the other days I probably have super low energy, or I’m insanely overstimulated by my kids or I’m having a bad mental health day.

And all of that, is why I do what I do. Of course I want to help anyone I can, but my heart is for the moms and the mental health warriors. I want people to know that you can still take care of and learn to love your body with no extremes. You can do it at your own pace and and still give yourself grace on your bad days.

So here’s to more posts that you can relate to or be encouraged by. Because you’re not alone. 💗

My client has dropped 11lbs in 3 weeks. 😱

Now, I don’t ever expect weight loss to happen that fast. I usually tell them to expect 1lb per week and that’s if they’re doing the work at home as well.

This lady has made just a few simple adjustments to her life and the weight is just falling off and her metabolism is firing up.

She started-
♦️Eating breakfast
♦️Upping her protein intake
♦️Exercises a few times a week
♦️Eating more whole foods
♦️And staying consistent

And that’s it! It’s obvious her body was holding a lot of inflammation, she wasn’t previously getting enough movement or protein in, and her metabolism was sluggish. She told me this week that she can tell her metabolism is firing up because she’s woken up with an appetite two days in a row! 🙌🏼🙌🏼

I’m so dang proud and seeing the excitement on her face is why I love this job so dang much.

I’m in a bad mood today. The kids are driving me insane. I’m yawning every 2 minutes. And my workout didn’t change any of that. Sometimes it’s just like that. Glad I went anyways. Glad I hyped myself up in the mirror. Grateful for a body that gets me through all this craziness.🤘🏼

Are we loving or hating that it’s about to be freezing outside?! 🥶

I’m a tank top and shorts girl, if you hadn’t already noticed. But I do love a good sweatshirt and I’m not going to miss the humidity one bit.

As we’re entering the hibernation-Halloween candy-holiday parties-Christmas cookies- and snuggle up on the couch time of year it’s pretty common for our calorie intake to go up and our daily movement to go down. Not to mention the lack of vitamin D and cloudy days takes a toll on our mental health.

So what can we do to stay feeling our best? Well, a couple things.

❄️ Get outside (or even next to a window) for at at least 30 minutes. Your body needs the fresh air and sun. Low levels of vitamin d are linked to depression and seasonal depression.
❄️Take a vitamin d supplement
❄️Temperatures warmed up for a day? Put your coat on and go for a 30 minute walk!
❄️Increase your protein intake. It’ll help you feel satiated longer and lowers your cravings for starchy/sugary foods.
❄️Make time to move your body in a way that you enjoy. Watching tv? Throw on a YouTube video workout. Hop on your indoor bike or treadmill, blast some music with your kids and dance, use your weights and bands to get a workout in. It will not only help your mind stay positive but it will keep your energy up, as well as your total daily energy expenditure.
No loosing muscle or strength for us this winter!
❄️Enjoy your holidays treats without guilt. Food is not good or bad. You are not bad for allowed yourself to eat the foods you love. Be kind to yourself. 💗

I’m seriously looking forward to eating my kids Halloween candy. 🤣What’s your favorite holiday treat??
