Always fun when you go and pull a game camera and see the moose you harvested, the morning of, about 2.5 hours before harvest.

Some mornings of guiding are insanely special, this was one of those mornings. When Dave reached out with a zone 7/13 tag I knew the perfect area for us to hunt; in zone 13. With a rainy and dark morning, we hiked up a decommissioned road to an area they had been working in the morning time. Even after offering an easier hunt to my guys due to the conditions, they wanted to proceed with my original plan (I instantly got excited). Once reaching our scouted cut and echoing out some soft cow calls as legal shooting started, it wasn’t 30 minutes later that gun shots were ringing out, with high fives and hugs in order. Once we quartered the bull up in the rain, packed it in game bags, and loaded it in packs… we were hiking down and out of the cut hundreds of lbs heavier. Congrats again Dave on your first ever moose, a hunt I won’t soon forget!

We just wanted to give a quick congratulations to Chuck spinks on his beautiful Maine black bear last week. Two years in a row he’s been able to harvest a nice bear with his bow, we’re hoping for number 3 in 2027.

One week out, couldn’t be more excited to get hunters into the woods 🐻🌲

Should be a great fall bear season, berries are dying back, and movement is increasing more and more by the day. We can’t wait for the opener 🤙🏽🐻

It might’ve been 70 and sunny in the mountains, but there was a STORMMMM in the woods yesterday. Congrats again storm on your second Maine bear on your final sit, and the last night of the 2026 spring bear season. Way to finish us off with a bang! Have a safe travel back to Florida, I’m already looking forward to the next time we get to share a hunting camp together.

A huge congrats to Matt from NH on his gorgeous Maine spring boar with his bow. Between the 50 mph gusts, torrential down pours, and thunder showers this week.. this bear was earned with lots of patience and perseverance. Nice work again on a hard fought week, can’t wait until we get to spend some more time in the woods chasing bears.

What a great start to the week, congrats to Jake from NH on your first ever black bear. 3 hours into his first sit of the week, this beautiful boar came walking in and the rest was history! Already looking forward to the next time we get to spend some time chasing animals in the western Maine mountains

Wanted to wish a quick congratulations to Jerry Anderson from North Carolina on his first ever Maine black bear. What a fun week of fishing, swapping stories, and time spent at camp.
