We had an amazing time at Nationals with a great group of kids, even though the results didn’t turn out the way we had hoped.

In Bullseye, our high school team finished 12th out of 45 teams. Colton Harris placed 104th out of 493 male middle school archers, and Brooklynn Alfaro finished 95th out of 438 female middle school archers. In 3D, our high school team placed 10th out of 53 teams.

These athletes have worked hard all season long, putting in the time, effort, and dedication it takes to compete at this level. I could not be more proud of each and every one of them, not just for their performance, but for how they represented Eustace ISD with pride, poise, discipline and class.

Qualifying for Nationals is an accomplishment in itself, and it speaks volumes about their commitment and talent. This group has a lot to be proud of, and I’m honored to be their coach.

Last night at the school board meeting, the middle school and high school archers were recognized for their hard work and accomplishments throughout the season. Their dedication, growth, and commitment to the sport have truly paid off, and I couldn’t be more proud of them.

A special congratulations goes out to Brooklynn Alfaro and Colton Harris for qualifying for Nationals, an outstanding achievement that reflects countless hours of practice and determination. The high school team was also honored for an impressive season, including a 3rd place team finish at State and earning their spot at Nationals. In addition, Bobby Ross was recognized for his performance at State, where he placed 4th and earned a scholarship.

This Thursday, the high school team, along with Colton Harris and Brooklynn Alfaro, will be heading to Sandy, Utah to compete at Nationals. Please wish them good luck!
