A little cold weather didn’t stop these turkeys! Thank you for coming out and enjoying the morning with us. It’s really fun to see friends and families take on this not-so-easy backroad course, set personal bests, and make traditions with our community. See ya next year!

Turkey Trot was electric yesterday! The weather was beautiful and the turnout was amazing!

It really is such a pleasure to host. We love seeing a reunion of sorts of friends and and families. And, of course, new faces are always exciting to see 🙂

TURKEY TROT UPDATE

Howdy trotters! We are getting set up for tomorrow and we're PUMPED!

I wanted to send out a few reminders and weather information...

1) HEADS UP! There are TWO start times. The 7 milers start at 8 AM and the 5Kers start at 8:30 AM. Arrive early to pick up your number and shirt if you ordered one.

2) Weather: The show will go on *as long as there is no lightning in the area*. If lightning is near us, we will delay the races 30 minutes. I will send out an email and update the race website webscorer.com/extramile so check there before you head out if it looks questionable.

3) This is a self-supported race. Bring everything you think you'll need (water, fuel) and keep it on you OR arrive early to drop it on the course.

4) We will have a (singular) port-o-potty. Yay!

I know the weather report is looking less than ideal, but rain or shine we are excited to share a run/walk with you! See you in the morning!

That’s a wrap for the ‘22 cross country season!!! We had so much fun this year and watched some amazing races with world class running performances 👏👏👏

There’s just nothing quite like this sport. At a meet you watch a field of kids with a range of athleticism and abilities take off from the same line-as equals. At the finish, they file in and the energy is palpable. The HEART they run with gets me every time. You just can’t help but cheer on every kiddo crossing the line! I can’t wait to see what these teams do post-district!
