These mountains are where we find our peace! How fortunate are we to get to live in a place others come to vacation?
If there's a prettier place on Earth, we have never seen it!

WOW! Who would ever have thought the price of bobcat hides would sky rocket like they did?!
The Western States Fur auction was this weekend and we sold our only bobcat for $1,042! Had we known these prices in advance we would have put some extra time in on some cats!
Special thanks to Todd Orr for hauling our piece of fur to Livingston for us!

And NOW, the fun begins! (And we say that sarcastically).

This says it all! The state of Montana, with all the biologists and experts, set a quota on the number of wolves that need to be harvested to keep their numbers manageable. For several years now, including this year, that number fell FAR short, half to be exact. So ANOTHER year the wolves continue to grow beyond manageable and balanced numbers. They keep increasing the hunting season despite hunter success being LESS than one percent. They have DECREASED our trapping season by half where trappers have a 30% success rate. Meanwhile our elk, moose and deer populations are getting decimated by the wolves. Did you know ONE wolf consumes/kills 25 elk size animals per YEAR?
