A lot of folks ask what’s different about LSU Eunice and the Cajun Prairie. Well, it’s people like Mrs. Yogi Sittig. Not only is she at every game for every team, she’s the leader of the LSUE FCA and also blesses our field before every game. We are now officially game ready!

The road to the National Championship runs through Eunice this week, and our community has the chance to be a part of something special.

Coach Jeff Willis has built more than just a baseball program at LSU Eunice. He has built a culture of excellence, discipline, and pride that has turned LSU Eunice Baseball into one of the top junior college baseball programs in the country year after year. From the winning tradition to the incredible new stadium, the impact this program has on our community is something we should all be proud of.

Now it’s time for us to show up for them. Let’s PACK THE STADIUM Thursday and Friday night and create an atmosphere these players will never forget as they continue their road toward another National Championship run.

Bring the whole family, grab your friends, enjoy the community tailgate starting at 5 PM, and then get loud for first pitch at 7 PM as we support these student athletes and coaches who represent Eunice so well on and off the field.

Purple. Gold. Eunice. Let’s go Bengals. 💜💛

The Eunice Rotary Club is proud to announce Jeff Willis, LSU Eunice Athletic Director and Head Baseball Coach, as the 2025 Eunice Rotary Club Citizen of the Year.

Selected from nominations submitted by members of our community, Coach Willis’ impact reaches far beyond the field. As highlighted in a nomination letter from Mayor Scott Fontenot, his leadership has helped transform LSUE into a nationally recognized powerhouse—capturing multiple national championships and developing hundreds of student-athletes.

Beyond athletics, his vision has driven meaningful progress for Eunice, including leadership in the ongoing development of a state-of-the-art stadium that will serve both the university and the broader community. His work continues to bring pride, opportunity, and economic growth to our region.

Coach Willis exemplifies the Rotary ideals of service, leadership, and community. Congratulations on this well-deserved honor!

Another big award haul this week for LSUE Women's Basketball!

One of the best to ever wear the purple and gold on the Cajun Prairie, Kamiera McDonald has repeated as the LCCAC Player of the Year- the first to ever do so. Kamiera leaves LSUE 9th all-time in points, fifth in steals, and fourth in three-point field goals. She led the Bengals this year averaging nearly 14 points per game.

For a second straight year, Rob Beckmann is the Best in the Boot after being named the LCCAC Coach of the Year. Coach Beckmann’s bunch ran through the LCCAC undefeated with a 30 point average margin of victory. He’s the first to win COY honors in consecutive seasons.

One the Bengals’ deadliest shooters, Edurne Diaz has been named first-team All-LCCAC. The freshman import from Spain finished second on the team in 3pt%, registering three 20-plus point games while leading the team with 118 field goals this season.

A do-it-all rookie sensation, Paulina Reichenauer has been named second-team All-LCCAC. The freshman from Germany was one of two Bengals to start every game this season, finishing second on the team in points per game, third in rebounds, and third in steals. Her 29-point game vs. Jones was the most by a Bengal this season.

A ballhawk in the Bengals’ vaunted full court press, Saidastiny Stewart has been named to the LCCAC All-Defensive Team. The freshman led the Bengals with 86 steals, spearheading the LSUE defense that ranked number one in the country in steals per game. Stewart was also LSUE’s rebounding leader and second in assists.
