**Dignity Box Initiative: Supporting Women and Girls Affected by the Floods in Nepal**
As families across flood-affected areas of Nepal face displacement and uncertainty, women and girls are often left without some of the most basic essentials needed to protect their health, privacy and dignity.
We are preparing 1,000 Dignity Boxes specifically for women and girls in affected communities.
Each box will include essential menstrual and personal hygiene supplies, undergarments, soap and other personal-care items, baby diapers, and other basic necessities that become even more important during a disaster.
Food and shelter are critical, but so are the everyday essentials that help a mother, sister or daughter feel safe, clean and cared for during one of the most difficult moments of her life.
We are procuring and assembling these Dignity Boxes in Nepal so we can move quickly and support local sourcing wherever possible. Each box is expected to cost approximately NPR 5,000.
We are coordinating with the Government of Nepal to hand over the boxes directly to government agencies and teams actively working in the affected areas, helping ensure they reach the communities where they are needed most.
Our Foundation team is also preparing to be on the ground as early as Friday, September 4, to support the ongoing relief effort.
We have already contributed NPR 25 lakh toward the response, and the Dignity Box initiative is part of our continued commitment to stand with the people of Nepal during this difficult time.
Every step we take is one step toward protecting the dignity, safety and well-being of our mothers, sisters and daughters.
