"What an absolute blessing to be able to kill such a once in a lifetime buck. We’ve hunted him for 3 years and everyday of this year. I got lucky for him to slip up at 8:11am yesterday in Benton on 80 acres." -

And this buck might just be one for the record books.

Zach heads to the official scoring process for Buckmasters, but that’s only the beginning. Louisiana’s official state records recognize Boone & Crockett (B&C) scoring, which means a little more patience is needed while the rack completes its required drying period.

Based on the unofficial score, this giant could top 200 inches B&C as a non-typical and potentially rank as the #3 archery buck in Louisiana in both the typical and non-typical categories.

A buck of this caliber, a Bowtech in hand, and a story that could land in the Louisiana record books. The official numbers are still to come, but one thing is certain: this is a buck worth talking about.

With a buck known as "The Great 8" on his mind, Ty put in the time, hoping for an opportunity to cross paths with him. When the moment finally arrived, everything came together for a hunt he won't soon forget.

"This bull means more to me than just the inches on his antlers. He represents the hard days, the long miles, the failures, and refusing to quit when things don’t go your way.

And the best part? I got to share it with two of my best friends. These are the moments we’ll talk about for the rest of our lives."
