Sheldon High School, please welcome Weston Hudson, the new Head Coach of the boys tennis program! Weston recently relocated from Los Angeles to Eugene and excited about his new home. Weston’s journey with the sport began in West Texas when he picked up a racquet at 11 years old and fell in love with the game. By high school, he was competing across the state, earning a top-100 junior ranking, winning dozens of USTA tournaments, and even taking down the defending state champion his senior year.
After high school, Weston followed a unique path—diving into the arts, teaching, and personal development. Along the way, he sharpened his communication skills and deepened his understanding of human performance, mindset, and motivation. Years later, he returned to competitive tennis, earning spots on two national teams in 2015 and 2016, including competing at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells Nationals Tournament.
For the past decade, Weston has coached players of all ages and levels, helping them elevate their technique, strategy, and confidence. His coaching philosophy blends the body, mind, and spirit of the athlete—because he believes the best tennis isn’t just about strokes, but about focus, resilience, and belief.
Weston is excited to bring that energy to Sheldon: building strong team culture, developing complete athletes, and inspiring players to grow both on and off the court. Here’s to a season of heart, excellence, and proud Irish tennis. ☘️🎾
Let’s go, Sheldon!
