What an incredible season for the Blue Mountain Christian University Bass Fishing Team!

Out of more than 130 active college fishing programs across the nation, BMCU finished the season ranked #5 in the country in the Bass Pro Shops School of the Year standings. This achievement reflects countless hours on the water, early mornings, long drives, sacrifice, dedication, and a commitment to excellence from our student anglers.

We are incredibly proud of every team member who represented Blue Mountain Christian University this season. Your hard work, sportsmanship, and perseverance made this accomplishment possible.

A special thank you to Blue Mountain Christian University for its continued support of our program and belief in what we’re building. We are grateful to be part of a university that invests in its students and provides opportunities to compete at the highest level.

Bass Pro Shops Collegiate Bass Fishing Series

Toppers secure two Top 10 finishes at the 2026 ACA Bass Pro Shops Collegiate Bass Fishing Series Championship on Pickwick Lake!

Chandler Howell and Clayton Ellis bring in 20.04 lbs to secure 5th with a total of 43.63 for the week.

Blake Bullock and Steven Deschene lock in 8th place with a 17.56 lb bag for week total of 41.80.

Bringing in our largest sack of the day, Jaxon Sherfield and Caden Alexander brought 20.46 to the scales to make a giant leap up the leaderboard on Day 2 to finish 51st.

Chandler Pruett and Sawyer Brady’s day proved to be tad tougher. The graduating duo added 9.79 to make their two day total 27.56.

Never quite finding that kicker bite to escalate their weight, Hunter King and Caleb Bass kept their heads down and grinned to the very end improving today with a 13.72 bag to wrap things up with a 25.47 total.

We had a packed tailgate tent today with many family and friends in attendance. We sure appreciate the love and support that’s always shown for our team. 💙💛💙
