Lakeside School Deer Hunt

Lakeside School Deer Hunt Our annual deer hunt is our largest fundraiser and helps in the existence of our private school. Our upcoming hunt is scheduled for January 14-16, 2022.

These funds are used in purchasing educational materials for our teachers and students and day to day operations in our school. The Annual Lakeside School Deer Hunt is Lakesides largest fundraising activity. Barbour County and Russell County, Alabama are home to some of the largest deer within the state. Our community of landowners join together to host hunters from throughout the counties for a w

eekend of fun, fellowship, and fine south Alabama white tail hunting. Our community hosts offer thousands of acres of prime hunting location. Hunters are assigned to specific guides who provide transportation and stands. Registration is currently open and spots are filling up quickly for our 2022 hunt. The 2024 Lakeside Deer Hunt was fantastic! Over 65 deer and bucks harvested; 71 hunters; over 12,000 acres donated and hunted, 100+ hunting guides, and almost a whole school and community coming together for an amazing fundraiser! Thank you to everyone who helped, donated, guided or assisted. We cant wait for next year!

Ladies and gentlemen, your 2024 Lakeside Deer Hunt Committee. This motley crew works for 12 months to pull off The Lakeside Schools largest fundraiser of the year, The Lakeside Deer Hunt. To the man in the middle, John Gray, none of it would be possible without him. Every year, he hosts around 150 + people at his beautiful farm.
