Woodside Plantation Hunting done in the old school tradition of the legends. Mule drawn wagon or motorized, fine bird dogs, explosive coveys, and superior cover.

Rooted in tradition, elevated by experience—Woodside Plantation blends Southern sporting heritage with modern sophistication to create a one-of-a-kind destination for corporate retreats, executive gatherings, weddings, and outdoor pursuits. No boot and shoot here, only fine fields of broom straw, lespedeza, sorghum, millet and native grasses mixed amongst the pine. Woodside offers day quail hunts along with morning duck hunts and has a dove club. Overnight stays in the plantation house or our lower duck pond can be complemented by meals served by our private chef.

Have you received your latest edition of Shooting Sportsman Magazine yet?

We don’t do a lot of advertising, relying mostly on word of mouth for a select group of members and guests. That said, working with Shooting Sportsman was a no brainer. They bring the best of wingshooting to the best of people, and we have a few openings left this season for day hunts and overnights. When you’re here at Woodside, the Plantation is exclusively yours. Consider an experience like no other this season.

Members and guests arrive in the early morning light for coffee and sweets in the Gun Room. The fire crackles and pops alongside the safety talk. Inevitably stories are shared, peppered with embellishments and a few tall tales. Then mugs are abandoned for boots, blaze orange and guns…all with a quiet excitement in the air.

The dogs and mules wait patiently for everyone to get squared away, tell that one last joke, and load up. Then it’s time to go to work.

The season is fast approaching. Can you feel it?

A good ol’ fashioned hayride around the property is what our guests are up to today.

Picnic in under the oaks, anyone?

Another season is upon us! Woodside accepts only a small number of weddings each year and 2027 is almost full. With an array of customizable options, in-house photography & videography available, and a team that’s dedicated to “unreasonable hospitality”, Woodside is one of the most unique Lowcountry wedding venues available.

Depending on the time of year, our property has something for everyone; from in-house massage and personal services, to shooting, fishing and horse-drawn arrivals, we’re here to help curate every last moment of your weekend.

It’s not a service, it’s an invitation.
