Just got back from Rocky Mountain National Park late last night! Started off cold and pouring down rain, but we managed to get our run in and suddenly the sun popped out! There are some pictures of our hike and sights in our Photo Album! Headed home today! Enjoy!

Day full of adventure!

We had our first "official" day on our own yesterday and what a day it was! Started driving and hiking up to Pikes Peak, and finished the day at Royal Gorge Whitewater Rafting on the Arkansas River! Tomorrow its back to aerobic training with our heart rate monitors! Yesterday was our "day off" from running (if that is what you want to call it), but athletes never like to sit around and watch TV, so we decided to spend the day together hitting the sights and having fun as a team.
Lots of laughter and fun together as a group! These kids genuinely care about one another and it is cool to see. People around Colorado Springs have no idea that we are a group of runners made up from different high schools. We have had several positive comments from people thinking that we are from the same school. What an awesome group of kids! Their parents should be very proud!
Here are some pictures of our hike to Pikes Peak and whitewater rafting adventure in boats 1 & 2. I will be posting some video from our whitewater experience later today when I have a stronger internet connection. For now, enjoy these pictures!
