Great putting starts with a great setup. Not all of us will be able to move or swing like a Tony Finau or a Jon Rahm, but there are a few commonalities between all the top players in the game that we can all do.

Your eyeline can have a huge impact on the path of your putter. Most successful putters will have their eyes either directly over the ball or maybe slightly inside. Once you have established a good eyeline, rock back and forth slightly between heel and toe until you feel nice and balanced. You may find that you need to adjust your distance to the ball.

If you can start in a consisent, neutral position, starting the ball on line will become much easier.
