Brittany does it again in the shootout with the game winning goal! Good vibes all around this weekend. The competition was fierce but we walked away with 2 wins. Team cohesion and camaraderie was amazing. Half of our roster met for the first time this weekend but teammates quickly became friends and the connection showed on and off the ice. Huge shout-out to our goalie Chelsea. Her performance was absolutely stellar.

Southern Thunder is competing in the Clover Cup this weekend in Kingston, MA. Congratulations to Brittany Parsons who scored a beautiful shootout winner in her first tournament with the team to give Thunder their first win. Happy St. Patrick's weekend!

🚨🚨Trigger Warning🚨🚨

Been there done that. Even ejected twice (once as a player and once as a coach)! After 1,500+ innings pitched, lots of strikeouts, too many walks, nearly 150 HR’s allowed, a bunch of wins and a bunch of loses over the course of 14 years played, I can say with confidence, even though frustrating in the moment, there is no way umpires determine how we perform, how long we play the game and what type of player/coach we are. They will make mistakes just as we do as players, coaches, teachers, parents, employees, bosses, business owners or any other type of profession. Shoot, even big league umpires aren’t perfect.

Letting them live rent free in our head is OUR issue and will without a doubt affect us. While at times it may seem horrible and be a determining factor in a game, when it’s all said and done they WILL NOT be the reason for our success or lack of it.
