While quick wins may come from exploiting mistakes, it's the teams that prioritize learning, teamwork, and tactical understanding that ultimately prevail. Invest in the future of the players, not just the scoreboard and medals 🏅

Without a coach having a clear vision of their ideal football (style of play) or long term development plan there is NO CHANCE they will be able to maximize individual / collective growth.

The coach will struggle to be consistent with his/her training ideas and players will be left confused.

Second year coaching high-school soccer here in SWFL and the second time I get to visit the school that helped shape me into the man I am today. The memories that came to mind being back at and the emotions that were running through while coaching our team against a school/program that I have so much love for is indescribable. Of course I had to take a minute to remember/honor the GREAT Coach Sommers before walking onto the field at Jeff Sommer Stadium. May I be able to make even half the impact he had on the many athletes that he worked with. Until next time Estero 👏🙌🤝

One of my favorite parts of managing a team is those last few minutes before stepping out to the field. When the tactical talk is over and pouring gas on the 🔥 begins. So much energy and excitement in the air, it’s a feeling that I can’t describe. A part of my work that nobody outside of our coaches/players usually gets to see. I myself usually don’t even remember what I said in those moments because it all comes straight from the heart and my focus is just so tunnel vision on the team. Lucky for me AshSauerwald Photography took advantage of the inside access and was able to get some of our pregame talk prior to our last home game. Enjoy!

This is a group of girls U8-U10 I work with. On this night were working through the initial phase of this activity so I was being a little more vocal than usual but if you really listen you can hear them managing themselves and communicating crucial details to their teammates (ball back, switch, etc.)

They are definitely ready for the next progression.

When we work, we WORK.
