Almost forgot to post this image of the Red Lantern award for the 4 dog class at North Pole Championships. I was told they're made at Streeper Kennels in Ft. Nelson, BC. All aluminum and it seems to only weigh about 2 lbs. Nice to get an award that one can use.

We ran with the sprint mushers last weekend at the North Pole Championships. It was very well run and people were welcoming. We finished 8/8 and averaged 10.21 mph which was fast for us. The winning team averaged 21.69 mph. The speed they maintained is crazy fast. All 4 dogs in our team are new leaders this year, including yearling Dozer. It was good race scene exposure for each of them so we'll call this weekend a win!

It's a cool -20F here in Ester, Alaska this morning. Fairbanks is -34F. Out putting in the trail on snowshoes with Zack and Mira the Chocolate Lab.

The first dog to greet you at our kennel is Button. She's an up and coming leader and she finished the Yukon Quest 80 in February.

Hello Abide Siberians fans! We're back at it and we've been adding miles since early September. We're planning to run some shorter races this year, even some down in the Anchorage area. You'll also see some new mushers at Abide Siberians as Emily and Zack plan to drive teams in the shorer races. Sit back and get ready for another fun filled mushing season with us!

Wrapping up our adventure on the 2025 Yukon Quest Alaska 80 mile race. Here's our Red Lantern Award for being the last team to FINISH! We're very proud of our young team of Siberian Huskies.

Some leftovers from the Yukon Quest Alaska 80 trail. YQA provided booties which we used in reserve for our own. Messages from far and wide written on them by race fans.

Ride along with us on the Chena River 4 miles out from Fairbanks on the YQA 80. If you turn up the sound, you can hear the trail is fresh loose snow on top of solid ice.
