The Essex Corinthian Yacht Club was established in 1984 with the mission to promote friendships within the yachting community, and to enhance our ties to the sea. Our members are proud of our facility and our environment providing good fellowship for active yachtsmen and women. We welcome the visiting yachting community. ECYC sponsors many social events and activities throughout the year. In addit

ion, we are involved with many boating activities for both the novice and experienced cruisers and racers. ECYC is actively involved in Frostbite Racing (Spring and Fall Series), Ideal 18 Summer Series, ECSA sanctioned races as well as many cruises throughout the New England Shoreline. We are located on the waterfront in Essex, CT adjacent to the beautiful Connecticut River. We are just six miles up river from the Old Saybrook Light on Long Island Sound. Our Clubhouse is a brief and enjoyable walk to the village of Essex, CT. The clubhouse and events are open to members, their guests, and visiting yachtsmen and -women (please refer to reciprocity guidelines for details). NOTE: The physical address is 9 Novelty Lane in Essex. Some publications will use the tax map address of 19 Novelty Lane. To send anything by mail, please use our PO Box 759 instead of a street address.

Due to the bacterial contamination in the water ECYC will be closing the galley today, Saturday 7/11/26, and asking members not to use the ice machines or faucets for any potable water use.

The restrooms are still open and members are encouraged to use hand sanitizers in addition to washing, especially before eating.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and will advise when we have been directed that ECYC can resume normal operations.
