Tradewell Decoys some day i be the hero some day i be the goat. today i be the goat. Kirby Puckett Tradewell Fish Decoys are handmade and each swim tested. This is a hobby.

I have been making fish decoys since 2001. Most of my decoys have copper fins, and are made from cedar to stand up to the elements. All my decoys are stamped with an anchor in honor of my father who trusted Jesus, as I do, as his anchor through out life. Tradewell decoys is named after my grandpa Chester Tradewell who was an avid spear fisherman who taught my father and me how to spear. Spearing i

s a passion of mine. I spend hundreds of hours out in the darkhouse every winter. Many of the decoys I sell I have tested in the darkhouse to see what works and what does not. I wont sell something I wouldn't use. I make a few every year and when able I can take special orders.

The Gathering was good to us this year. And I was honored to be able to place in some categories with some other awesome careers that I personally look up to. My kids also came home with some ribbons. Jude and Warren made a northern together and placed first. Ingrid and Ezra participated in a class that they worked on a pre-made fish that they could paint with some direction.
