Hey all!! Hypothetically speaking, raise your hand if you would be interested in a group fitness class taught by me on Wednesday evenings.

Yesterday morning was amazing! Barre at the bar was a huge success. I didn’t realize how much I missed teaching this class. Thanks to all who participated and thanks to those who were able to stay after for mimosas and brunch, I appreciate you all!

I miss teaching at my studio, but I do love my little tavern. It was great bringing both of my passions together. I can’t wait to do another class soon! My body is sore and my heart is full! ❤️💪🏻

For those who signed up, please bring a towel and water bottle. If you have light weights please bring them. I only have a few to share so first come first serve. We will have a great time!

After class, we have plenty of drink options and light breakfast items to choose from if you plan to stay.

Make time for yourself! You don’t need to spend hours in the gym. Take a 10 min walk outside or on the treadmill. Lift weights for 30 min, or take a 60 min fitness class. It’s important to continue to Move Your Body!

I did a 30 min upper body TRX with weights workout this morning ending with a one min plank. What was your workout today?

LONG POST!

Hey all! It’s been awhile. I wanted to touch base and reach out to you about the constant struggle of staying on track with health and fitness. As a woman going through menopause, losing and/or maintaining weight, finding motivation, and focusing on eating healthy can be extremely challenging. So, I have been practicing giving myself grace. What does that mean?
“Giving yourself grace" means treating yourself with the same kindness, compassion, and understanding that you would offer to a friend, especially when facing challenges or mistakes. It's about acknowledging your imperfections, practicing self-compassion, and allowing yourself to learn and grow without harsh self-criticism.
Instead of dwelling on your flaws or failures, recognize that everyone makes mistakes and experiences difficult times.
Accept that you are human and that your emotions and limitations are valid. It's okay to feel overwhelmed, sad, or frustrated sometimes.
There is no such thing as perfection. Give yourself permission to make mistakes, and to learn from them.
Instead of focusing on your perceived shortcomings, focus on your strengths and potential for growth. Celebrate your small victories, and be patient with yourself.
Replace negative self-talk with positive and encouraging affirmations. Remind yourself of your worth and your ability to overcome challenges.
And don’t forget, please keep doing what I’ve been teaching for over 12 years now. No matter how big or small, please continue to Move Your Body!
