✨HEART AND HUSTLE: KATY SCOTT✨
In Loving Memory of Katy Scott


Katy was an incredible volleyball player, a devoted teammate, and a loyal friend. She gave her all — on and off the court.

We first discovered Katy at a local school tournament and were immediately drawn to her drive and versatility. We even attended one of her matches at Oak Hills High School just to recruit her. True to who she was, Katy insisted that we take a few of her teammates along with her — she always thought of others before herself.

Katy embodied teamwork in every sense. She never complained, never questioned the effort — she simply showed up, worked hard, and lifted up those around her.

Off the court, Katy carried that same spirit. She gave back to her community through her volunteer work at the Boys and Girls Club of Cincinnati. She deeply loved her family and often shared how proud she was of her brothers.

Katy was the true definition of Heart and Hustle — in the game and in life.


The world lost an amazing young woman on October 21, 2024. Today, and always, we remember everything she taught us and all the love she gave to those around her.

We want to honor Katy by giving an award in her name. More details to come ❤️❤️ crush has always been about the kids, families, and community. And we will never stray from that.

Rest easy, Katy Scott — forever in our hearts and minds

If we could all take a second to send prayers to Ohio premier and Dylan’s family 💕

The OPVC Family is heartbroken to share the tragic news of the passing of Dylan Straughn, a beloved member of our club team. Dylan was not just a loyal and supportive teammate; he embodied kindness and resilience on and off the court. His unwavering competitive spirit and passion for the game inspired everyone around him.

Dylan dedicated countless hours this past summer to honing his skills, continually pushing himself to grow both as a front row player and by developing his setting abilities. His tireless work ethic and positive attitude earned him a well-deserved spot on our top 16 National team, and his impact on the game will never be forgotten.

Beyond volleyball, Dylan had a genuine love for music and remained actively engaged in life, bringing joy to those who knew him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his teammates and all who were fortunate to witness his talent and spirit. He will always be remembered as a beloved member of our OPVC Family. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this incredibly difficult time.
