Hello!

Today’s Mindful Morning Yoga class began with a moment of intention setting for the week ahead. At the end of class, participants were invited to write down an intention to carry with them beyond the studio. The photo shared is Alyson’s intention, along with the reflection explored during class:

A new week is beginning.

Not everything that happens this week can be controlled—other people’s choices, unexpected challenges, or changes in plans.

But each person can choose how they show up.

One simple practice that can shape the week is setting an intention.

The class was guided to reflect:

• How do I want to move through this week?
• How do I want to respond when challenges arise?
• What quality would support me most right now?

From there, everyone created a simple intention statement, such as:

✨ I am calm and grounded.
✨ I embrace joy.
✨ I am present.
✨ I am peaceful.

Each participant was encouraged to choose a phrase that felt meaningful and imagine carrying it throughout the week—returning to it later in the day, remembering it tomorrow morning, and calling on it in moments it’s needed most.

The practice closed with a slow breath and silently repeating the intention three times, allowing it to settle into the heart.
