This past weekend welcomed 7 teams to beach 11 for our annual tournament. Teams played 9 games and tried out our new 3 way format for a day full of fun, spirited games. The day also included a light lunch featuring 5 dozen ears of local sweet corn 🌽 😋
Congrats to our Ohio friends, 3 Star Ultimate, on the perfect record and to all the teams that survived another Sandy 7s. It was great to get regional representation from Buffalo, Akron, Pittsburgh, and Erie at beautiful Presque Isle State Park.

Another great DGUD weekend. Awesome weather, awesome ultimate, awesome party. Can't dial it up much better.

Thank you to all the participants and folks that made it happen: continued support from the Erie Sports Commission, Athletic Brewing for keeping us fueled on and off the beach, my parents for helping with the camping and feeding the 150+ campers, Wainer Park for hosting, GM high school for opening the showers for folks, DJ Rick Fresch for getting the party popping, Dea's food truck for some tasty eats, and Presque Isle State Park for the beautiful beach, our AT Abe for patching folks up, Armagostmedia for capturing the action, Randy for lending his jeep, and to all the volunteers that helped make the event happen.

Congrats to Cakti for winning our 2:2 division, 3 Star Ultimate for winning the 3:1 division, Kelly Landis for being nominated as the party champ, and Ethan and Kevin on winning this year's layout competition. More photos and video hopefully coming out soon. Thank you all for another great weekend of beach ultimate in Erie.

Thankful for our annual Thanksgiving hat tourney and this crew that braved the weather. From Buffalo to Pittsburgh, we had folks come out and play some fun, spirited ultimate. One week ago I helped host with this awesome crew. Year of the crab, year of the nor'easter. We put on a fun extended one day event for over 500 athletes on 34 teams before the storm rolled in. Long days, long nights, lots of smiles along the way.
