Lund Martial Arts Academy

Lund Martial Arts Academy At LMAA, martial arts is not only a potentially lifesaving skill, but a fulfilling lifestyle. Today, more than a decade later, Mr. Mr. As a result, Mr.
(280)

At Lund Martial Arts Academy, martial arts is more than a system of fighting; it is also a system of thought. As LMAA students train in the physical martial arts under the guidance of expert instructors, so do they train in the mental disciplines of respect, work ethic, awareness, and more. For every one time a student needs to use physical techniques for self-defense purposes, there may very well

be a thousand instances or more in which they could use their refined mental acuities for focused self-improvement. True martial artists are developed from the inside out, and it is in practicing balance that the students of LMAA are taught martial arts as not only a potentially lifesaving skill, but a fulfilling lifestyle. Back in 1996, thirteen-year-old Jeff Lund enrolled in the martial arts for the same reason many teenage boys do: to learn how to fight. In 2004, twenty-one-year-old Jeff Lund founded Lund Martial Arts Academy for a very different reason: to use martial arts training as a tool to transform the lives of others the way it had done (and continues to do!) for him. What had begun as an endeavor to look tough and win fights quickly became a welcome source of community, self-awareness, and personal growth. Lund and his team at LMAA continue to promote the positive changes that arise from sieving all of life’s problems through a martial arts filter. It is the mission of Lund Martial Arts Academy to use martial arts training to help guide individuals to create the version of themselves that they have always dreamed that they could be. At LMAA, where one starts is never where one must remain. LMAA’s “create yourself” mentality is true of its student body, and so is it true of the organization itself. Lund’s goal in establishing LMAA was to own and operate the kind of martial arts Academy at which he would like to be a student. Lund and his team have made frequent efforts throughout the years to update and adapt their martial arts training to truly serve those looking to improve their self-defense ability. This dedication to betterment has seen LMAA transformed from a strictly traditional Tae Kwon Do Academy to one which teaches a myriad of effective martial arts styles from around the world, including the grappling-based art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Thailand’s war-refined Muay Thai kickboxing.
