Happy Holidays, 2018 style!

There remains a disc golf course at Behrend. It's not the best, but it's about all we've gotten.

Things have been slow on that front, but we continue to "exist" and hope to continue making progress. Driving to Pittsburgh and Ashtabula is getting old. :)

We're looking for a place to host the Dynamic Discs Winter Marksman League (a six-week putting league).

Any ideas?

Wintertime spells the end of disc golf for most of us. Cold. Dark. Bad weather. For a great majority, this means a drop off in practice and, therefore, skill. The Winter Marksman League is here to help.

What week night is best for people to have winter indoor putting league?

I'm thinking right now we'd have it at Walnut Creek or even Grandview Elementary.

Cost would be $5 or less, possibly free, and I suspect we'd meet and play for 90 minutes or so.

Is anyone interested in either of these two things?

1. An indoor putting league (downtown at Golf Evolution) once a week. We'd mostly play HORSE and work on putting and short shots, but we have the capability to throw into the net as well.

2. A league at Penn-State Behrend's course once a week starting in the early spring, 2017.

Risk assessment on proposed course has passed. Now we have to see how much funding we have! Fingers crossed!

I'm curious if anyone is interested in a weekly putting league. I believe I could easily arrange to have one if four to ten people are interested.

Spent some time working on a logo for the club. Let me know what you think.

Previous (attempted) designs included the Flagship Niagara, the Bicentennial Tower, and a map or outline of either Presque Isle or Erie County itself.

This version includes all vector artwork so it can be scaled pretty well (including the basket).

What do you think?

P.S. I'm not 100% pleased with the colored version I've posted here, but it's "okay," particularly for a "quickie" conversion to color.

Pittsfield, MA is getting a new disc golf course! How long until the first one opens here in the Erie area? Hopefully 2014 is a great year for disc golf in our area!
