I get asked this question all👏🏻the👏🏻time👏🏻 “What can I do to get healthier?” “What can I do to lose weight?” “Where do I start?”

Here’s the FIVE EASIEST things you can incorporate into your life to live healthier. The best part? It’s not a diet. It’s not hours in the gym. All of these things are things you can do at 16, 36, 75, and every stage in-between. Here’s my secrets!!!!!🫣
1. GET ACTIVE🏃🏽♂️
Just get in 2-5 workouts a week. Run, walk, lift, crossfit, yoga, bike, or whatever you can to get your heart rate up. Get an average of 10K steps a day to make sure you’re getting appropriate blood flow throughout the day to prevent stiffness and muscle imbalances🚶🏼♀️🚶🏼♀️🚶🏼♀️
2. FOCUS ON QUALITY NUTRITION🍒🫑🍓🥔
Eat 7-9 servings of fruits/veggies a day and eating mostly unprocessed foods that don’t come in packages. DISCLAIMER: not all packaged foods are bad. I eat a lotttttt of rice, oats, etc that come in packages🍚🍚🍚
3. MORE PROTEIN🫘🥚🥩
You should be eating 1 gram/lb of body weight. More if you’re trying to build muscle! Protein is crucial to muscle synthesis and repair, but it is the macronutrient most under-eaten in the American diet. If you want muscle definition and optimal recovery, make sure to prioritize protein at every meal! Eat lean meats, eggs, beans, protein/collagen powders, etc💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
4. DRINK MORE WATER.
Drink one gallon/day. If you drink a lot of your calories (sugary Starbucks drinks, alcohol, sports drinks, soda), try to start replacing one a day with water. It’s crucial to all body functions, so DRINK UP💦
5. PRIORITIZE SLEEP😴
Most don’t sleep enough for optimal recovery! You need 7-8 hrs if you want to be recharged enough to be physically and mentally sharp and active. Try creating a nighttime routine 30-60 minutes before sleep to help you wind down. A shower, skincare routine, and read in bed with a lavender candle with my phone on silent is the progression that knocks.me.OUT😵😵😵
