💙💛 Lady Jr. Otters 12U – Growing Something Special 🦦

The Lady Jr. Otters 12U team is building strong momentum, and we’re excited about the group we have in place.

As we continue to grow the girls game in our region, we’re looking to add a few players to strengthen our depth. Accepting 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017 birth years.

We are a PAHL team, with 2 practices per week during the season in Erie, PA.

We welcome players from Northwest PA, Northeast Ohio, and Western NY. Our roster already includes players traveling from across the region.

Champions! What a way to finish. 🦦💙💛

The Lady Jr. Otters brought home 1st place at the Girls Irish South Bend Cup, the final time this team will take the ice together.

This weekend was everything youth hockey should be:
pizza, swimming, mini sticks, bonding, giggles, and a whole lot of fiercely competitive hockey.

This morning’s championship game was a true nail-biter — ending 1–1 after overtime and ultimately decided in a shootout victory!

We are so incredibly proud of the hard work this team has put in all season. Their commitment, growth, and support for one another showed every single day — on and off the ice.

We feel truly privileged to coach such a talented, humble, and kind group of humans. These girls represent everything good about this sport.

Girls — your hard work matters. It pays off. And the character you’ve built will carry far beyond the rink. We cannot wait to see the amazing things each of you will do next.

This team, exactly as it is, will never exist this way again — and that makes this moment even more special.

The last cheer in our net here in Erie.

These seasons are funny — you don’t realize you’re in the “lasts” until they’re happening.

And the truth is, this team — this exact mix of personalities, grit, laughter, and chemistry — won’t exist in this same way again.

But they chose to finish their home season loud.

We closed out our final home game with a great win over a tough Garfield Heights Bulldogs team.

Full effort. Full buy-in. Full heart.

What a way to protect home ice. 💙💛

💙 This Valentine’s weekend, our hearts belong at the rink. 💛

The 12U Lady Junior Otters take the ice at the Sarah Backstrom Memorial Tournament—a special weekend that means so much to our organization and our girls.

This tournament is about more than hockey. It’s about honoring a legacy, celebrating the growth of girls’ hockey, and spending meaningful time together as teammates, families, and friends.

Congratulations to our 14U/16U Lady Jr. Otters on their Sarah Backstrom Memorial Tournament wins. We love seeing the hard work pay off and the standard being set across the entire program. 💙💛

The Lady Jr. Otters wrapped up their PAHL season today, finishing in 5th place—just shy of a playoff spot.

The girls came out with purpose and passion, striking first and battling hard until the final whistle. South Hills managed to edge out a 2–1 win, but our team left absolutely everything on the ice.

It wasn’t the easiest path to game day, but the girls handled every challenge with grace, grit, and the heart we’ve come to expect from this group. We couldn’t be prouder of how they showed up for each other.

And we’re not done yet. This team still has plenty of hockey ahead, starting next weekend with the Sarah Backstrom Tournament—a special event that means so much to our program and a chance to honor Sarah’s legacy. Stay tuned for the schedule.

After that, we head to South Bend in March to close out the season strong. No quit in this group—just more opportunities to grow, compete, and keep building something special.

A tough loss for the Lady Jr Otters this afternoon as they fell to the Arctic Foxes, 2–0.

The score doesn’t reflect the fight — this team showed resilience and effort from start to finish.

With another league game ahead, the focus remains on growth, consistency, and preparing for the challenges still to come.

The Lady Junior Otters battled hard this afternoon and earned a 2–2 tie against the Arctic Foxes.
Fast pace. Strong effort. A full-team grind from puck drop to final whistle. 💙💛

And if you think that result satisfied them… think again.

Tomorrow, the girls are back on home ice with extra focus and extra fire as they face the Foxes for the second time this weekend. The work ethic is there. The chemistry is there. Now it’s about finishing the job.
