The 3rd Annual BJP Tournament is officially in the books.

What an incredible weekend of softball, community, and competition. This tournament was created to honor BJP, whose impact on girls sports in Ephrata continues to be felt today. As a pillar of Ephrata athletics, BJP dedicated so much to supporting and advocating for young female athletes, and we are proud to continue celebrating that legacy through this event each year.

A few years ago, the girls of the Ephrata Enforcers had a vision that this tournament could be about more than softball. They wanted it to be an opportunity to give back to the community that has supported them throughout their athletic journeys. This year, that vision reached a new milestone. Thanks to the generosity of our teams and families, we collected and donated an incredible 907 pounds of food to our local food bank. Seeing that dream continue to grow each year is something we are incredibly proud of.

Congratulations to EV Bombers Red, recipients of the Team Bat Award for bringing in the most food donations and helping make a meaningful impact in our community.

We would also like to recognize NW Crushers as the recipients of this year’s Sportsmanship Award. Their respect for the game, their opponents, umpires, and tournament staff exemplified what youth sports are all about.

To every team that participated, thank you for making this weekend special. The competition was outstanding, but what stood out most was the sportsmanship, teamwork, and support shown throughout the tournament.

As we close out another successful year, we remain grateful for the opportunity to honor BJP’s legacy while bringing teams together to compete, build friendships, and give back to the community. Thank you to everyone who helped make the 3rd Annual BJP Tournament one to remember. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year.

Saturday is a BUSY day at EHS: HS Basketball Tourney, Club Softball Tourney, and the Sage N Sun Parade Staging. Frey road will be closed as well as the parking lots. Here is a map for Saturday. Our town is very busy this weekend so be careful traveling around.

One of our favorite traditions is our annual food drive. The team that donates the most pounds of food will take home a team bat.
