Established in 1917, as a 6-hole course, grew to a 9-hole course in 1923, and expanded to our 18-hole golf course in 1931. In 2014 Peninsula Short was created. An award winning 6-hole / par 3 golf course with

natural grass tees, fairways and greens. Enjoy our many amenities: Driving Range: grass / sand hitting areas, chipping and sand bunker, Putting Green, Pro-Shop, Clubhouse Restaurant, PGA / LPGA golf instructors, Junior golf school and First Tee programs. Power / push carts available and golf club rental. Open mid-April - October.

“While a round of golf may not be the most practical goal at a family-centric destination like Door County, the tremendous Short Course at Peninsula State Park not only makes low-stress golf for the family possible, but architecturally stimulating as well.

Once part of the main course’s original routing, the Peninsula Golf Course Association was tasked with repurposing an unused 6-acre parcel south of WI-42. Through the vision of architect Bob Lohmann, the fallow land was transformed into an engaging pitch-n-putt that draws inspiration from the game’s golden age. Highlights include the opener that mimics Augusta National’s famous 12th, the punchbowl 3rd, blind Redan inspired 5th, and lion’s mouth 6th. Though the design is architecturally inspired, the layout couldn’t be less pretentious, with only one hole over 100 yards and plenty of well-manicured fairway leading to the greens.

For a golf experience to be fast-paced, inviting to beginners and kids, and interesting for advanced players is a tremendous task, which makes the achievement of Pen Park’s short course all the more remarkable.“

5th Annual Sister Bay Lion's Club Golf Benefit
August 30, 2026

We are pleased to announce the 5th Annual Golf Benefit for the agencies serving the needs of Door County.

Registration begins at 7:00 A.M. Sh***un start will be at 8:00 A.M. with Men’s, Women’s and Mixed divisions. It will be a four person scramble followed by a buffet luncheon at Thyme Restaurant.

Please be generous in your donations of cash, gift certificates, basket raffle prizes and silent auction items.

Cash donations to this event will replace the previous annual fall donation request

Listed below are the levels of sponsorship and/or participation.

Major Sponsor $800.00 Includes a foursome, two carts, luncheon and your name on all forms of advertising, including tee box signs on each nine. Please fill out foursome on attached form.

Non-golf Major Sponsor $300.00 Your sponsorship will appear on all advertising including tee box signs on each nine.

Hole Sponsor $150.00 Includes tee box signs on each nine.

Golf & Luncheon $125.00

Golf only $85.00 per golfer

Lunch Only $45.00 per person.

The Lions will donate 100% of the proceeds from this event to agencies serving Door County.

A partial list includes: Girl Scout GO BO Foundation, Door County Secret Santa, Northern Door Children’s Center, Door CANcer, Northern Door Food Pantries, Cycling Without Age- Door County, Northern Door college and technical scholarships, HELP of Door County, Door County Toys for Kids, Altrusa of Door County and Door County Sheriff’s Crime Prevention K-9 Program.

Your donation may be tax deductible as the Sister Bay Lions Club is a 501( c )3 Non-Profit Organization.

If not mailed, a Lion Member will contact you in a few weeks to collect your donation and/or golf reservation.
