Sue Hubbell Hunters and Jumpers

With roots in the Midwest and the East Coast, Sue settled in the Pacific Northwest in 1991. She has been teaching and training for over 25 years.

Welcome to our facility - a 30+ acre farm with all the amenities, located in a pastoral setting 40 minutes Northeast of Tacoma and 30 minutes Southeast of Renton. Sue is well known for her patience and consistancy, bringing out the best in every horse and each rider she works with.

To wrap up our show season posts from last year, Mary Kate was able to borrow the reins on two of our trusty steeds, Legend and Fluffy, for a couple of horse shows during the show season. Down in Wilsonville at the Country Classic she picked up the Championship in the Long Stirrup Equitation division with Fluffy. Then with Legend the pair picked up Reserve Champion Outreach Equitation 18” and 5th in the USHJA Outreach Derby 18”/2 at the Evergreen Classic. The most impressive feat of this show though was Legend consistently surviving and taking in stride a chipmunk intent on being in the arena and even on the jumps specifically when he was going - See picture at the end if you need proof and a laugh 🐿

Looking back on this past year, Jasmine had a couple milestones on her riding journey that we couldn't help but be excited about! The first box that was checked off for her this year was finally getting to steal the reins from her mom to take Marin out for a spin after being the leader of Marin's fan club from the sidelines these past couple of years. The two had a blast working together and we had a blast watching them together! Luckily Erika doesn't have to worry about sharing with Jasmine quite yet since the other exciting milestone that came about this past year was the addition of Silver Star Isabella (Izzy) to the herd. We are thrilled with the progress Jasmine has already made and the confidence she has gained in her time with Izzy. Our team can't wait to see what these two continue to accomplish in their time together and all the smiles that will continue along the way.

Another pair in our barn family who continued to shine last year was Erika and Marin ✨ These two keep getting better and better each season while having tons of fun together while doing so and this past year was no different. Marin has continued to mature into a reliable and competitive partner for Erika while keeping her signature Marin flare we all adore. It seemed the judges agreed last year as well since this pair picked up a tri-color and multiple top finishes along the way including a win in their $500 Short/Long Stirrup Hunter Classic. They've been working hard and smiling harder this off season and we can't wait to see it continue and pay off for them this show season 🩷

Last week we celebrated Shani's birthday which concluded the end of a very exciting year for her since this past fall Shani welcomed a new partner into her life. Adonis won his way into our hearts the day we were introduced to him and has continued to charm our barn family the more we get to know him. Seeing the joy he has brought Shani in their short time together certainly helps too. We can't wait to see these two continue to develop their relationship even more this year and all the fun they will have along the way while doing so.

Erika's past year was filled with equal parts growth and fun as she and her trusty white knight for the season Chili took on the show ring together continuing to improve each outing while also picking up valuable experience and multiple tri-colors along the way 👏 Chili even got a chance to introduce Erika to the jumper ring during their time together! It's been such a blast for our team seeing all the lessons Erika learned this past year and applying them in her partnership with the new man in her life, Dibbs, as they continue to develop their relationship which has been proven to be off to a strong start as the pair picked up a blue ribbon in every class they entered at their recent horse show outing 🎉

Our team is looking forward to the lessons ahead and the fun to be had this year for these two while finding the laughs when needed and cheering them along each step of the way!

Continuing with our social media catch up, last year Mr. Fluffy earned the nickname Mr. Consistency with Greg in the irons as these two picked up multiple tri-colors as well as multiple ride of the days throughout their show season. We couldn't have been prouder to see their hard work pay off the way it did but seeing the fun these two continue to have along the way is always the cherry on top. Cheers to more miles and more smiles for Team Fluffy this show season 👏🏅

Speaking of new herd members, the newest member of the Cass family hit the road for her first show season last year getting to know the ropes of horse show life while picking up a few blue ribbons and even a tri-color along the way. Maddie has earned a soft spot in our barn family's heart with her inquisitive nature and love of smells or should we say her love of telling you when something smells 😂 We can't wait to see Deb and Maddie's hard work during the off season pay off this upcoming show season and look forward to cheering them on every step of the way!

There's a new member of our extended family in Kentucky aka Spence has made his way into the world! Congratulations Kyle and the Victory Hill Training, LLC. team on the newest addition to your herd. We can't wait to receive more postcards of all the shenanigans he is causing and the fun he is having 🎉

Clark and Deb were another tried and true pair for our team that consistently laid down great rounds regardless of venue last year. Their hard work outside of the show ring paid off and earned them top ten finishes in a $500 Low Children's/Adult Hunter Classic and $1,000 Cypress Events Local Hunt & Go Derby along the way. We can't wait to see this dynamic duo continue to shine this year but have been making sure to stock up on Clark's minty muffins so we make sure to hit his upcoming horse show quotas in the meantime 🥕🍎

Keeping with the theme of catching up on our social media, another pair that continued to shine last year was Wes and Legend. Round after round, they are putting in the hard work to be consistent and confident as a team whether it be at home or on the road. We can't wait to see this team continue to get better and better as they have each year but have so enjoyed the ride that has been their journey so far with last year being no different. Cheers to another great year ahead for these two 🍀
