Here are the results from the 2026 KTDU race Green River Saddle Club on Saturday 8-1-2026. Great job everyone!!!

Despite a wetter-than-expected start and a few rain showers throughout the day, our 8th Annual Barrel Race was a tremendous success! After all, this is Western Washington, and a little rain wasn't about to slow down our incredible barrel racers.

We were thrilled to welcome more than 136 riders, ranging in age from 5 to 72 years old, and award over $10,300 in payouts. First-place winners in each D class will also be taking home beautiful championship belt buckles.

This was our first year hosting the event at Green River Saddle Club, and while every new venue comes with a few hurdles, we finished the day proud of what we accomplished together.

While the riders are the heart of the event, the volunteers are the backbone. The KTDU Race is powered entirely by volunteer love, dedication, and hard work. Many of our volunteers work full-time jobs and spend months planning, organizing, fundraising, and preparing to ensure this event is something our competitors look forward to each year. What makes it even more remarkable is that some of these volunteers aren't riders themselves. They simply believe in supporting this incredible community and helping create an experience that barrel racers of all ages can be excited and proud to attend. Their commitment, countless hours, and selfless efforts are what make Kick The Dust Up possible, and we are beyond grateful for every single one of them. It truly takes a village.

Good morning, everyone! We are excited to welcome all of you to our Kick the Dust Up Race today! With a VERY large turnout expected, please take a moment to review these important reminders to help keep the day running smoothly, safely, and on time for everyone. Some important notes!!!!

🐴 IMPORTANT TRAILER DIRECTIONS

If you're coming via Highway 18, your GPS may try to send you up SE Lake Holm Road shortly after turning onto Auburn Black Diamond Road.

🚫 DO NOT TAKE THAT TURN!

That route includes a very steep hill and two tight hairpin turns that can be difficult with horse trailers.

Instead:

➡️ Stay on Auburn Black Diamond Road until you reach the stop sign at SE Auburn Black Diamond Rd.
➡️ Turn RIGHT onto SE Auburn Black Diamond Rd and continue about 1 mile.
➡️ Turn RIGHT onto SE Lake Holm Road (look for the Kelly Latte coffee stand on your left and the church on the corner on your right).
➡️ Take the FIRST RIGHT onto SE Lake Holm Road again (yes, it's the same road name).
➡️ Continue approximately ½ to 1 mile.
➡️ You'll pass a small lake on your right and head up a small hill. The Saddle Club entrance will be on your left shortly after the lake at the top of the hill. Look for the green flags at the property entrance.

⏱️ TIME ONLY RUNS

We will make every effort to honor all Time Only entries. To help us accomplish that, please complete your Time Only run(s) as soon as possible after arriving.

⚠️ Delays may result in not all Time Onlys being able to run. We will not hold up the race to accommodate missed Time Only runs. If we are unable to get to your Time Only due to time constraints, refunds will be issued.

🚚 PARKING

We are expecting a full facility and parking lot!

We will have volunteers directing traffic and parking throughout the day. While we'd love for everyone to stay and enjoy the entire event, we do anticipate parking limitations. If you're early in the draw and need to leave, don't worry. Winnings will be shipped quickly!

✅ Please follow all parking attendants' instructions.
✅ Park safely and efficiently.
✅ Be patient and work with us so we can maximize space for everyone.
✅ Help keep traffic flowing and ensure everyone has room to maneuver safely with their trailers.

We are excited to see everyone this Saturday! With a VERY large turnout expected, we wanted to share a few important reminders to help the day run smoothly and safely for everyone.

Attached is the first draw for the OPEN and Senior and Youthon Saturday at Green River Saddle Club. Time only runs are from 7:00-10:30.

Order of Events starting at 11:
Peewee/Buckaroos
Open
Senior
Youth

We rake after every 5 and a big rake at 50.

For those that will be traveling highway 18, if your maps indicate you should turn off Auburn Black Diamond Road on to SE Lake Holm Road DON’T DO IT. That road is a nasty hill with hairpin turns that are atrocious with a trailer.

Continue on Auburn Black Diamond Road to the stop sign that intersects with Auburn Black Diamond Road (yes…same name, two different roads). Basically after exiting hwy 18, just stay on Auburn Black Diamond road till you come to a stop sign that requires you to turn right or left. turn right and your directions should pick up from there.

I will put up signs to try to direct, as well.
