Huge congratulations to Schanon Odell on the purchase of Jazzmeyer. We are so excited that he is going to a wonderful home where he will be so loved. Jazz is a special boy and one of the most fun rides ever. This sale is bittersweet since it is a big reminder that tomorrow is never promised to anyone. Make sure to live your dream every single day.

And then there were 3...... Unfortunately, an untimely bout of COVID has derailed my 2025 championship attendance, BUT 3 of my students will still be there showing off all of their hard work and dedication. Tony Binion, Erin Segale and Maddy Waite I wish them the best of luck and apologize again for ditching them! 😷😷😷 Thank God for facetime coaching.

To everyone who has qualified and chosen to go to championships, I wish you the best rides and happy/healthy horses! Have fun everyone!

Lovely weekend at WEC with perfect riding weather, fun people and beautiful horses. So much to be thankful for. Highlights included Tony Binion riding both 4-3 tests beautifully on Santino. He's knocking on that 70% door! His young horse, Zeke, is making his mark with a materiale score of 83+%. Lilo was full of praise for this boy! Erin Segale had her first show on her new youngster Malone. She qualified for champs this weekend with scores to 69%. He is such a superstar and their future is unlimited. Jessica Mayer took her beautiful Vuitton out at 3rd level. It was the first time at this level for both of them. I am so proud of how far they have come and the fact that they nailed the "hard" elements of their tests. Such a polished pair. Maddy Waite debuted on her lease horse, Dreamboy Jr. This was Maddy's 2nd recognized show ever and we threw her into the deep end at 3rd level. They nailed it and managed to qualify for champs this weekend as well as securing both needed scores for her bronze. I also took Zak out for his 1st attempt at 3-3. He is really turning into a fun show partner! He is so rideable and is starting to enjoy the rides. That is the best feeling. We have lots of work to do to clean things up, but our scores were up to 67+% so I think we are on the right track! As always, these weekends are so fun spending time with special people and our best equine partners.

Apparently I am super bad at show updates. Because this one is late....again. We took a small group of horses to WEC for the late June show and had a really great weekend. Tony Binion rode his horse, Santino, at 4-3 all weekend and had really nice, consistent tests with scores solidly in the mid 60's and winning both of his classes. They are really getting stronger and stronger and gearing up for their FEI career. Tony also brought along his new 4 year old, Zeke, and took him in a Materiale class on Friday. Ummm, that went well with an 83.8%. Zeke was nervous in the upper ring, but was such a good boy strutting his stuff. This one is a special one for sure. Julie Moore took her own Donegal out for his second show ever. She handled the weekend so well and they won their training level class on Friday with a 66%. On Saturday, Donegal got a bit scared in the upper ring, but they worked through it and finished strong. A great confidence builder for their next show. I took my own Zakato out for the first time in 2 years (his 3rd show ever) at 3rd level. I was so pleased with him! I am figuring this boy out and realizing that he absolutely does not sleep when away from home. The first two days he was fantastic! By his 3rd day, he was running on adrenaline and by day 4 he was exhausted. His last test he tried so hard for me, but just had nothing left to give. I just need to figure out the right process for him to shine. I also took my young horse, Carlo, out for his 2nd show. He was such a super star on the first day. I couldn't have asked for anything better (literally). Unfortunately, his rider apparently hasn't mastered single loop geometry ???? Sigh. Carlo's Saturday ride was in the "scary" upper ring and there was some spinning, broncing and general mayhem. Let's just say we used the judging scale from 2-8. 😉

Huge thank you to Maddy Waite groom extraordinaire for all of the help and to Jessica Mayer for once again allowing us to stay in your lovely home. Thank you, thank you!!!

Hugely overdue post for our first show of the 2025 season at the EI show in Cle Elum. Tony Binion made his 4th level debut on Santino with scores in the mid 60's. Both tests were lovely and well ridden! He is now already qualified for champs as well as getting his first 2 scores towards his silver medal. Tony also took his new 4 yr old Zeke out to experience show life and try his hand at a materiale class. What a success with the score at 79.6! Such a positive outing for this stunning boy. I was fortunate enough to have the ride on Carol Samford's Gabriel. It was his 2nd show ever and we debuted at 3rd 3. All of the movements were a breeze but we just need a bit more experience to relieve some of Gabe's show nerves. And maybe not a falling tree during our test.🤷‍♀️. Some excellent moments for us to build on though! Lastly, I took my new 5 yr old, Don Carlo, for his first show outing. He was a super boy the whole weekend so we went down centerline on Sunday and ended up with a 72.6% (including a 9). So much room for improvement as he gets a bit more relaxed in the ring, but a really positive start.

So grateful and thankful for all of the barn peeps that trekked over to watch rides and hang out with us. A special thank you to Maddy Waite, groom extraordinnaire, who kept both Tony and I on track, clean and organized. Thank you!

Baby horse lesson day out in the beautiful fall weather. We won't have too many more days like this so we put it to good use. Great job by Alicia Downs on Risky (age 4) and Erin Segale on Malone (age 5). What good boys!

Huge congratulations to Tony Binion and Santino FB on their Region 6 championship show. They ended up 3rd place in a big 3rd level AA GAIG class. It was their best test ever! They really went for the BOLD and it paid off (minus the pesky turns on the haunches 😂). This pair is a really great partnership and Lebron tries his heart out for his dad. Bye bye 3rd level and next year 4th/PSG!

It was such a FUN, wonderful weekend spent with good friends. Memories to cherish!
