Kalos Agon Kalos Agon (KA) is a Christian-based self-defense system. Here you'll find updated class info and intriguing Christian & MMA insights. http://KalosAgon.com Belt.

While the need for equipment is minimal, here are some suggestions for those who would like to follow our training program. These are not absolutely necessary to begin training though.

1. It is a camouflage belt and we apply color stripes for ranking changes. Here was the best deal we found initially. You may want to check other places:

size 4 is approximately 108 inches. Good for waist sizes 30-36 inches roughly.

2. Gi. We do most of our training with a Gi, as most people in the Pacific Northwest have some sort of sweater or jacket on daily. This website also has competitive prices for Gi's. I recommend judo or jiu-jitsu Gi, as a thinner gi will get torn with grappling. Double weave will last the longest, but obviously is more expensive than single weave. Single weave is definitely acceptable for training. http://www.martialartsmart.com/uniforms-judo-jujitsu.html

3. As students increase in the belt structure, weapons are added in the training. Mid-way through the white belt progression, the escrima stick or kali stick is the 1st weapon learned. This link has durable escrima sticks for training for a good price. This will allow you not to feel bad when they get dented and chipped. Of course there are varying types on the website, as well as other sites! http://www.martialartsmart.com/25-11.html
