Crystal and Starline are still working to find drivers. If something works out ... it is going to be a scramble to gets everything ready.
-Families are welcome to use our Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/622704245170065 to arrange carpools. Free buses from Enumclaw are going again this year.
-The current lead chaperone's kids are aging out of the program. If you are willing to help coordinate or lead the program, please email: [email protected].

Week 5 Lost & Found. Ski goggles, mask, and tumbler were on bus 3. Sounders hat was from week 1 or 2. Also found this week was beautiful scenery.

Off to a great start! Our 4 ski buses for Jan 8 arrived to clear conditions and a fun-filled day. Well-done to all the student riders for returning to the buses on time, and thank you to all the volunteer chaperones!

2021-22 Season:
-January 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th, February 5th, 12th
-Pass sales have closed for the year.

*Crystal Mountain reserves the right to cancel the ski bus at any time. IKON passes are non-refundable. Ski bus chaperones are community volunteers and do not represent Crystal Mountain. Bus space is available on a first come, first served reservation system.

GEAR CHECKLIST:
Here are things everyone headed to the mountains for the day should have. Conditions can change quickly! Be prepared:

*Insulating layers – long underwear and the other layers [advice]

*Ski jacket and pants – preferably waterproof with Gore-Tex or a similar breathable material

*Ski helmet

*Gloves or mittens – preferably waterproof [advice]

*Neck gaiter or scarf

*Goggles for sun and flat light [advice]

*Sun screen – 30SPF or better for high altitude use

*SPF-rated lip balm

*Tissue pack

*Stay hydrated! Flexible water flask or Camelbak-style backpack reservoir

*Filling snack such as a sandwich.

About:
Ski Bus is a parent volunteer-coordinated program that offers safe and convenient bus transport to Crystal Mountain Resort for 6th through 12th grade Mercer Island students. The program has been in operation continuously since 1995 (even before under a different setting).

Starline Charters provides comfortable transportation to and from Crystal Mountain. Starline operates a modern fleet of 56-passenger buses with some of the friendliest drivers you'll meet.

Buses depart on Saturday Mornings at 6:10am from, and return around 5:30pm to, the Park & Ride parking lot of Mercer Island Presbyterian Church.

Parents of other Ski Bus children are chaperones for the trip up and back to the mountain.

For skiers and boarders of all abilities:
Buses are generally organized by grade. Middle school students sit with middle school students, while high schoolers are with high schoolers. (There may be mixed of two consecutive graders, depending on participation.)

Ski and snowboard lessons are available for every ability level. (All-day lessons are encouraged for 6th graders.) The all-day lesson program includes lunch.-
