Happy New Year Everyone!

The nextest, newest, and bestest Greater Yellowstone Adventure Series (GYAS) race season has begun. There is early bird signup for the first three days of the New Year. Sign up now, get 15 percent off your entry fee, and begin training and planning for a grand destination event in Southwest Montana in July 2026.

Most of our races have caps. We can accept only a certain number of athletes and crew for the races held within the Beaverhead Deerlodge National Forest. For example, the Big Sky Marathon and the Madison Ultra 50 are on the same day (July 12) and both races are under one race cap for the day. I would highly advise that you book your spots as early as possible.

Hey Lovers of Two-Wheeled Transport (a.k.a., the bicycle),

Today is an important day in the history of the bicycle. Exactly 125 years ago (March 2, 1900), a young cycle adventurer set out on an incredible journey to the gold fields of Alaska. There was snow, there was ice, and it was colder than a gold digger's ass in the Klondike, but he started pedalling anyway. Take a look.

The Greater Yellowstone Adventure Series was created for the likes of this young adventure cyclist. This coming July we will host three races that will push your cycle-loving heart to the hilt. Attention Creative Writers

Three years ago, I launched the Saigon Writers Club based on three firm beliefs about humans and humanity.

Firm Belief #1 - We all have stories inside of us.

Firm Belief #2 - We want to tell our stories. For many if not most of us, these stories are itching to come out.

Firm Belief #3 (based on 10+ years of teaching creative writing) - Most of us need a bit of help to tell our stories, and we are ready to invest in ourselves to get this done because of firm belief #1 and firm belief #2.

Since 2021, I have acted on these beliefs by teaching 13 creative writing classes with the singular goal of helping my students complete a short story and then getting it published. We have been able to achieve this final goal four times with the publication of four short story anthologies (see photo).

Here's some good news. I am launching a new creative writing class for September. It is a 10-session class with the goal of completing and then publishing a short story. The short stories from this class will be published in the Saigon Writers Club 5th short story anthology at the end of the year. I have been working on this writing gig for a while. Not to boast too much, but in the photo attached you can see my first book (Saigon Stories), second book (A World Gone Mad for Marathons), book numbers 3 to to 6 (the short story anthologies each of which has one of my fiction pieces), and finally Vietnam - Asia's Rising Star which has been published in English (2023) and Vietnamese (2024). I'm currently working on two new books.

This is the level of experience that I am bringing to the September creative writing class. It will be the 14th class of the Saigon Writers Club. The class starts on September 7 and ends on October 5. I hope you consider signing up for it. If you have any questions, PM me on this page or send me an email ([email protected]).
