To call it a long week is an understatement..
We managed to turn on 2 win lights out of the whole weekend between 3 cars and 2 races. Dad didn’t get to run the second race due to a broken magnet on the top dragsters balancer and finding some brass inside the filter on the stocker. I turned it red first round of the second race, due to some issues on the starting line running the least amount of delay this car has ever seen. We haven’t dug deep into either of the cars yet to figure out all of our issues but they will be resolved.
After our first night of being at the track, our generator on the motor home decided to throw the belt off the water pump and quit working but thankfully for having Donald Thompson being the good man he is, he let us borrow one of his generators to piggy back off of the spare we had. One the trip back home late Saturday evening I trusted the 6.0 fuel gauge and ended up running dads truck out of diesel.. I tried priming the fuel system up with diesel but then found out a mile later I instead primed the oil tank up with diesel, completely destroying my fathers motor.
We got to hang out with some good friends and setup shop for some even better family! We will be back and better!
