This morning, the Pacers and Plainsmen had a brief shakeout run before enjoying a team breakfast. They also welcomed Lance Atkinson, a former longtime Enid Junior High School XC coach, to join them. Both teams are ready to compete at the Mustang Night Race tomorrow evening!

The Pacers wrapped up their week with a solid morning workout this morning. This week they faced many challenges, including multiple morning practices, trying to get quality mileage while running indoors and uncertain if they would be able to run outside in the afternoons. Their dedication and flexibility throughout the week have prepared them for an inspiring performance at the Mustang Night Race on Saturday night. Great job and good luck, ladies!

Runner of the Week: Brought to you by Brown’s Shoe Fit.

This week's Pacers Runner of the Week is Tiffany Venable.

When asked what sports she played growing up, she said, "I played basketball growing up, and I joined cross country when I was in middle school."

When asked if any of those sports influenced her decision to try cross country, and how they helped prepare her for running, she said, “My siblings influenced me to start running, and we ran during basketball, which I enjoyed."
