This week's Plainsmen Runner of the Week is Jose Hernandez.

When asked who or what inspired you to start running cross country, he said, “What inspired me to run cross country was to lose weight. I started cross country in 7th grade to lose weight and stuck with it until 8th grade year. I was going to quit freshman year because I became lean, but I decided to give it a try and start trying every day to become better.

This week's Plainsmen Runner of the Week is Shane Wills.

When asked what his favorite XC memory is, Shane said, "The meet my sophomore year where I got a good time and the girls got first place, and after that, we went to this old Elvis Presley restaurant to eat."
