McMinn Central East - Middle School Cross Country

McMinn Central East - Middle School Cross Country Our cross country team is a combination of middle school students (boys and girls) from Etowah City, Mountain View, and Englewood.

We also offer this sport to homeschooled students as well as students enrolled in the McMinn Virtual Program.

We want to send a HUGE congratulations to our 8th grade cross country runner Imri Hitson!

Imri qualified for the state track meet in both the 1600m and 800m today. She didn’t just qualify… she placed FIRST in both events at sectionals!

Imri is an athlete at Tellico Plains Junior High and competed with McMinn East Cross Country this past fall through our co-op program with TPJH.

We are so proud of you, Imri! Your hard work is paying off in a big way.

Cross Country Athlete Spotlight

We would like to recognize our cross country runner, Abby Brinkley! Abby is currently in track season, where she has set the McMinn East team record in both the 800m and the 1600m. She also continues to hold the team record in hurdles—an incredible accomplishment!
