Maui Surf Academy We are a Surf Academy in Encinitas San Diego. Here at Maui Surf Academy beginner and first time surfers are our specialty!

Whether you've tried it a few times or never at all it's no problem. We can accommodate surfers of any level and personalize classes to suit your learning needs with beginner through advanced training. Our patient and skilled instructors will take you from the sand to the sea and be with you every step of the way. What’s it like to take a private lesson at Maui Surf Academy Encinitas? From start to finish, any age, we’ve got you. We’ll explain everything and be with you every step of the way making sure you’re safe and having fun, and most importantly - surfing!

Our first spring break camp starts March 30th and we’re booking all lessons and camps for this season now. Please book early, as we’re running smaller size camp this year. Thank you and can’t wait to see you at the beach!!

Maui Surf Academy Encinitas is now booking for the 2026 spring break and summer season! Due to some recent changes for all city permit holders for this season, we will be running substantially smaller numbers so please book early to reserve space.

Meet our instructor Tiffany!

Tiffany is a born-and-raised in southern California, beach loving lady. It was love at first wave when her passion for surfing sparked at age 13. Her love for the sun and surf along with her passion and expertise in Muay Thai and kickboxing have taken her to many different countries including a 5 year stint in Bali, Indonesia. Recently retired from competing as professional prize fighter (where she held 5 world titles in Muay Thai and 7 in Kickboxing) and as a life-long martial artist with decades of experience Tiffany now directs her focus and energy into teaching and coaching children and adults of all ages and experience levels ranging from beginner to professional.
