It is our objective to see that all our students become well conditioned Black

Belt Champions. We focus on instilling black belt leadership qualities through helping students develop a Black Belt Champions Attitude. It has been said that a person's attitude is equal to their altitude. In order for anyone to reach a high level of success, they need a Positive Mental Attitude. Secondly, West Coast Martial Arts strives to instill a Black Belt Champions behavior. Students who journey to Black Belt and beyond within United Studios see firsthand that having respect, self-discipline and self-control are core traits in becoming a well conditioned Black Belt Champion. Lastly, West Coast Martial Arts Academy believes in teaching students to have a Black belt Champions Character. Doing the right thing when no one is looking is the true essence of a Champion. For the first time in over 20 years, the Tiger Claw Sword is once again available to Fu Jow Pai students.

In 2000, Grandmaster Wai Hong introduced the Liu Yi Jian straight sword form. Around that time, Master Lao Shur Liu Yi, a respected Kung Fu master from China, gifted her personal sword to Grandmaster Wai Hong. Its balance, craftsmanship, and handling inspired a small number of custom swords that quickly became treasured pieces within the Tiger Claw family.

Over the years, these swords became increasingly rare as the original bladesmith and his successor both passed away, ending production. Today, only a limited number remain in the hands of long-time Tiger Claw practitioners.

For many years, Sifu Giuseppe has worked to faithfully recreate this historic sword. After extensive research, collaboration, and multiple prototypes with a master bladesmith in Longquan, China, a sword has finally been produced that captures the spirit, balance, and craftsmanship of the original.

We are pleased to announce that these swords are now being made exclusively for members of the Tiger Claw family.

Production order will be placed soon, and quantities will be limited. This is a rare opportunity to own a sword inspired by the original blade gifted to Grandmaster Wai Hong and connected to the history of the Liu Yi Jian form within our Tiger Claw tradition.

If you are interested in reserving one, please contact us as soon as possible so we may include your sword in the production run.
