Coming into the Tier II National Championship many felt that #8 seed Carmichael had a solid shot at winning it all.Speedy, skilled, and dynamic, they started well against Fort Hunt, showing the value of having players who have played together a long time.

The 2026 season was overwhelmingly successful for the Hawks. In just our 4th year having a High School program, we were able to capture the Gold Division title, and earn a spot in the High School National Tournament. Although we were the 8 seed, we won games against the Virginia and Tennessee state champions to earn a spot in the final. In the final, we lost by one point. The boys battled with everything they had, but ultimately fell short.

One of the biggest takeaways from the season has been how our Carmichael community rallied around this team. Between Nationals watch parties at , to the fundraising. The boys definitely felt the support and love all the way in Indiana.

To the parents and supporters who made the trip with us; THANK YOU doesn't seem enough. From the Costco runs, to the meal arrangements, to the help in piecing the boys back together after back-to back-to back games, we couldn't have done this with out you.

To everyone who financially donated: due to your charity and generosity, we were able to provide a first class experience to the boys. They were hydrated, fed, and cared for due to your generosity.

And lastly, to the players. You boys played with so much heart and passion, it turned heads on a National level. You accepted every challenge head on, and never backed down. Your grit, your toughness, your passion for the game is inspiring. Our Senior players who are moving on: you laid the foundation of greatness. You will always be remembered, and no matter where you go, you will always be a Hawk!

The future looks bright. We will be back.
