The Pie in the Face contest was something new we tried this year not knowing how it was going to go. We are pleased to say it exceeded our expectations! Thank you to our counselors that were willing to participate and receive a pie to the face, and especially to our campers and their families that donated week after week. Thanks to fundraising efforts throughout the year and other donations from community members and organizations, we were able to give away a record number of scholarships this year. We will continue working hard to help more campers enjoy the outdoors at Camp Alexander! For the grand finale, we chose to pie the top three counselors for the summer. These counselors were Kaylie McKay, Sarah Hill, and Autumn Metcalfe.

Here are our final fishing pole winners for the summer! We can’t thank Phil Taunton enough for sponsoring this giveaway, not just this year, but the last few summers. The fishing pole drawing is a camper favorite, so we hope to continue benefiting from your generosity in the future. Thank you for continuing to support Camp Alexander, Phil!

Our final project for the summer will be a tie dye activity. It will be held on Friday throughout the day. If your camper wants to participate, they need to bring a white t-shirt to tie dye. We will provide rubber bands and dye.
