We will have official results of all participants soon, just working out an issue that occurred with some of the same-day registration folks' chips not calculating correctly. As far as the podiums, our winners were:

Women's 70--
1. Michelle Duffy
2. Paulina Batiz
3. Lyn Blubaugh

Men's 70--
1. Michael Reynolds
2. Corey Smith
3. Ryan Balkenhol

Women's 40--
1. Katherine Eusey-Zuckerman
2. Julie Gasper
3. Shelli Shipps

Men's 40--

And a repeat performance by Paulina Batiz and Corey Smith for your KoM/QoM challenge.

But you are all winners in my book! Great effort by everyone out there!

Thanks everyone for coming out! We had a pretty great turnout for a pandemic. Camp Alexander and the EPBA really appreciate your support. This year has been tough on non-profits.

I had to take a nap (still working night shift) so I wasn't able to load photos or results as fast as I'd like. Going to try and have them up in the morning!

Congrats to all the winners and to everyone who toed the line!

Quick change in location for early check-in. Just around the corner from the breezeway in front of Gravel City Adventure and Supply, 716 Commercial Street. Less direct sunlight for my fair skin. We will be out here until 5pm!

I apologize for lack of communication, it's been a struggle balancing the race against work, family life, and an unexpected loss. I had meant to send an email to all participants last week after registration closed. To make things quicker, all the routes and locations of starting line and early registration are on our website (https://www.lapthelakes.org/the-race)

Parking for the event will be available at the park and overflow across Commercial Street at the All Veterans Memorial Park.

A few fast housekeeping items:
1. Don't come if you're sick, we will issue you a refund minus the sunk cost of your shirt (but you get the shirt!)
2. We will be doing a temperature and wellness check when you arrive for packet pickup, if you're running a fever or have symptoms, we will refund you.
3. We will require you to wear a facial covering at registration and the starting line (mask, buff, bandana, etc) and ask you socially distance from other participants not in your immediate family. You can remove facial covering after beginning the race when you feel comfortably spread out from other riders.
4. Due to social distancing requirements, there will be no post ride gathering (I know 😞). Podium winners will have a podium photograph taken and given their award.
5. The full course hill climb challenge winning male and female riders will be determined at the closure of the event. I will distribute the winning jerseys accordingly once winners have been determined.
5.5. Remember to participate in the Hill Climb Challenge, you'll need to upload your ride data to Strava to be counted. The hill climb is a unique segment and the fastest male and female will be chosen as winners.
6. Be safe and we will have a blast.

The race will begin in the Soden's Grove Ballpark lot, directly across Hwy 99 from the All Veteran's Memorial.  Parking is available in the ballpark lot and in the adjacent memorial though we encourage you to fill the ballpark first.

Registration closed Monday at noon but we've received several messages about entering the race. I went ahead and manually registered those folks but t-shirt orders have gone into the manufacturer as of tonight.

So, if you still want to race, I will be accepting late registrations at the packet pickup on Friday the 9th as well as up until a half hour before race start on Saturday. Check www.lapthelakes.org for the schedule of events!

Weather is looking great. It's going to be an awesome day.

There is still 22 days left to register for the ride. For the first time in this event's history, we have more registered riders in the women's category for the full distance before the same in the half course. That's awesome.

But hey, lets fill up that half distance, too. Remember, there is a super sweet hand-made top tube bag in store for each podium place in the half and full courses.
