The "These are not the dirt roads you are looking for" edition.

We suppose we will keep the paved options on deck, but just be ready - those Bob Spatta tires are uber skinny.

🌙🚲 Oh boy. It's that time of year!!!!!!

And we're officially leveling up Lunar Ride for 2026.
A little bigger. A little weirder. A little more fun.

What's staying the same?
✨ Night riding through the Flint Hills
✨ 6:30pm rollout with 30-mile and 50-mile options
✨ Food, drinks, and event swag that doesn't suck
✨ A stocked (and actually fun) aid station
✨ The legendary Lunar scavenger hunt in the hills

What's new?
🌙 A brand-new south route for 2026
🌙 A family-friendly scavenger hunt during the after-party festivities
🌙 And... we're pretty excited about this one...

🎸 Mulready's Pub is bringing Brody Buster Music for a live concert as part of the finish-line celebration.

That's right. Ride bikes under the moon. Hunt for weird stuff in the Flint Hills. Eat, drink, hang out with friends. Then finish the night with live music.

Sounds like a pretty good Saturday to us.

We're incredibly excited for this year's event and hope you'll join us.

Ride + Concert Registration (you can add on concert tickets here too for a friend - one stop shop!):

Speaking of the Merchant crew...
Many of you already know Adam.

You’ve trusted him with your race bikes, your dream builds, your “I line up for UNBOUND in 12 hours and something is making a weird noise” emergencies, and pretty much everything in between.

Since March, you’ve probably noticed his familiar face back in the shop. When Adam came back this spring, we weren’t entirely sure what the future held. What we did know was that we were excited to have one of the best mechanics in the industry back in the stand, helping riders and making bikes run exactly the way they should.

We’re excited to share that Adam isn’t just here for UNBOUND season. He’s here year-round.

You’ll continue to see his familiar face around the shop, wrenching on bikes, helping riders, chasing perfection on every build, all while taking the occasional break to spend some time with Jessica and Mib.

Adam has earned the trust of riders from all over the world through his knowledge, attention to detail, and commitment to doing things the right way. Whether it’s a race bike headed to the start line, a dream custom build, or the bike you ride every day, he treats every bike like it matters. Because it does.

As we’ve grown, one thing has remained true: great bike shops are built on great people. Adam’s experience, craftsmanship, and commitment to taking care of riders make him an important part of our team and the experience we want every customer to have.

We’re thrilled to have him back as an integral part of what makes Merchant Cycles so special.

And PS,  if you’ve been dreaming about a custom build, you should probably talk to Adam. He’s really, really good at that sort of thing. 😉🚲

Well... this one is a bummer.

Our guy in the middle, Seth, has made the decision to head to Wichita to work on airplanes (which honestly seems like a lot more responsibility than bicycles).

We're super bummed. Like, super-duper bummed.

Seth joined the Merchant team a few years ago and quietly became one of those people you simply trust. He knows bikes. His work ethic is second to none. He's dependable, kind, and the kind of person who makes everyone around him better. Whether he was helping a first-time rider, wrenching in the service area, or just hanging around the shop, he always showed up with a great attitude and a willingness to help.

The truth is, Seth has become a friend.

While we're sad to see him go, we're incredibly grateful for the time we've had with him and excited for what's next in his journey. We know he's going to do great things.

The good news? We have a feeling this isn't really goodbye. UNBOUND, gravel roads, and Merchant Cycles have a way of pulling people back in, and we're guessing you'll still see Seth's smiling face around from time to time.

Thanks for everything, Seth. You'll always have a place here.
