FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: VICIOUS FISHING NAMED PREMIER LINE SPONSOR OF ARMYBASSANGLERS
--
In a partnership rooted in respect, camaraderie and rugged American tradition, Vicious Fishing announces it has become the premier line sponsor of ArmyBassAnglers (ABA). The announcement comes on Veterans Day, a purposeful and meaningful date to reaffirm the bond between two organizations committed to serving those who served.

“Our path to this partnership started long ago,” said Greg Meunier, owner of Vicious Fishing. “I’ve known Shawn for many years and was always interested in working with him and the ABA. But when we sat down at ICAST this year and I learned how much more ABA is than just a military fishing trail, I knew I had to get involved. This group provides many resources for American warriors which is bigger than just fishing. We want to do what we can to help shine a light on their organization.”

That statement speaks to the heart of this collaboration: more than line, this is about mission, meaning and service. For Vicious Fishing, a brand born of backbone, outdoor performance and the resolve of working-class anglers, the link to ArmyBassAnglers is natural.

For ArmyBassAnglers CEO Shawn Dalrymple, the alignment was clear.

“Vicious Fishing stood out because of their commitment to performance, integrity and American-made quality; values that directly mirror those of the ArmyBassAnglers mission,” he said. “Their product reliability on the water is second to none and as veterans and competitive anglers, we only align with partners we trust when it matters most.”

He added the shared history sealed the deal.

“I have also had a longstanding relationship with Vicious Fishing, going all the way back to my college fishing years. Over time, I’ve always looked for ways that ArmyBassAnglers and Vicious could work together, because I’ve seen firsthand the quality of their product and the authenticity of their brand. That shared history and mutual respect made Vicious a natural fit as our premier line sponsor.”

A PARTNERSHIP GROUNDED IN VALUES

Both organizations emphasize that this sponsorship is far more than a logo on a jersey or a banner on a boat. It’s an alliance built on time-honored tradition, respect for service and commitment to people.

“We share a lot of the same values,” Meunier said. “The ABA, just like Vicious, understands the value and importance of family. They believe in treating people right. They believe in doing things the right way. They respect traditions.”

Dalrymple echoed that sentiment.

“Both ArmyBassAnglers and Vicious Fishing share a foundation built on loyalty, grit and community. Vicious believes in principles that align perfectly with our mission to Support. Defend. Fish.”

He underscored how the outdoor mission of ABA delivers a new life purpose for veterans.

“Just as Vicious strives to give anglers confidence through dependable line performance, ArmyBassAnglers strives to give veterans purpose, connection and a new mission through the outdoors. Both brands are rooted in authenticity and driven by the belief that hard work and integrity still matter.”

WHY TODAY MATTERS

By choosing to make the announcement on Veterans Day, Vicious Fishing and ArmyBassAnglers honor the service of American veterans while at the same time launching a new chapter.

“Being able to make this announcement on a day dedicated to our veterans is special,” said Meunier. “Much of what ABA does is outreach to veterans returning home from their time in service. They are an outlet for veterans to communicate and associate with fellow veterans that understand the challenges of retiring from the military. We are excited to become a small part of it.”

The timing is deliberate: to show respect.

To hold up the tradition of service.

To cast a line in solidarity.

FROM PRODUCTION TO PURPOSE

Meunier also explained how Vicious Fishing is taking steps to bring more manufacturing back to U.S. shores. It’s a reflection of their belief in American industry and a statement of confidence in the men and women who built this country.

“My wife and Vicious Fishing co-owner Cori and I are prime examples of the American Dream that has been provided by our military. We took this leap of faith 7 years ago and have always wanted to bring more of our production home. Over the summer we did that with our braided products and I can tell you we aren’t done yet.”

That commitment to “made in America” aligns well with ArmyBassAnglers’ call to serve and support those who served and signals a broader vision beyond sponsorship.

VISIBILITY, REACH AND IMPACT

ArmyBassAnglers brings a powerful platform to this partnership.

“We participate in over 20 major expos and tournaments each year, ranging from national-level events like the Bassmaster Classic, Skeeter Owners Tournament and MLF Redcrest to large-scale consumer shows such as the Texas Trophy Hunters Extravaganza and Tennessee Valley Hunting & Fishing Expo,” Dalrymple said. “We also lead community-driven outreach efforts like Fishing for Freedom, where veterans and boaters come together for a weekend of camaraderie and competition.

“Our television platform, ‘Force on Force,’ airs nationally on the Sportsman Channel, reaching over 40 million households. The show also streams through MyOutdoorTV, World Fishing Network and other digital platforms.”

Through this visibility, Vicious Fishing will gain exposure across the outdoor and veteran communities and more importantly, support lives beyond trophies.

WHAT'S NEXT

The two organizations will collaborate on upcoming events, veteran-focused fishing clinics and product demonstrations that highlight both performance and purpose. For Vicious Fishing, the sponsorship is a way to “shine a light” on the ABA program, while for ArmyBassAnglers, it strengthens their mission infrastructure.

“We provide the connection that so many miss when they leave the military,” Dalrymple said. “That sense of team, brotherhood and shared mission doesn’t disappear; it just needs a new place to live. Through our Fishing for Freedom tournaments, national expos and the Force on Force TV platform, we give veterans the opportunity to reconnect, heal and rediscover that bond with others who understand their journey. It’s amazing how just showing up at a show can bring back years of connection, camaraderie and purpose they thought were gone.”

Getting a little love from ArmyBassAnglers for the 10.75 giant I caught on Monday. Want the juice? I was fishing with Brandon Burks in his Skeeter Products, Inc FXR, found her using the Lowrance AT2 displayed on HDS Live 16 and got her to bite a Z-Man Jackhammer ordered from MONSTERBASS all while looking fresh in those frogg toggs Hydrogrip boat shoes, Wiley X shades and G2 Gemini ABA tournament hoodie.

He’s no stranger to the winner’s circle—and now he’s back to make waves!

Former Force on Force Champion Andy Woods just slammed his way into the Double Digit Club with a certified toad that tipped the scale over 10 lbs! This wasn’t luck—this was skill, grit, and muscle memory from a warrior who knows how to dominate.

Catch Andy returning to the battlefield in Season 14 of ArmyBassAnglers’ Force on Force on the Sportsman Channel, where he’s bringing that same energy, experience, and championship mindset to the competition once again.

He’s already proven he’s got what it takes. Now he’s back to defend the legacy. Will he claim another title? One thing’s for sure—he’s not here to play.

I wanted to give a HUGE thank you shout out to my buddy and Marine veteran Troy and his team over at Texas Boat Works for their superb professionalism and attention to detail. I dropped off my Skeeter for a full blown bow to stern project: remove the existing electronics and replace them with a fully networked Lowrance and Power-Pole Total Boat Control package. Not only did they deliver the cleanest install I’ve ever seen, but they worked their butts off to get me on the road in time to make the drive to Florida for season 14 of ArmyBassAnglers . You can catch their work in action when the newest season airs in April, or catch me at any of the lakes in Texas over the next several weeks. If you have install, maintenance, or basically ANY boat work you need done, go see the team at Texas Boat Works. You won’t be disappointed in their craftsmanship.

Started out slow over at Lake O’ The Pines, one fish just over 2 pounds under a highway bridge using a Megabass of America Vision 110+1 in Mat Shad. (Water temp 59-61 stained, partly cloudy, SE wind 10mph) Missed something on a Cut-R worm but no other action, so we hopped over to Gilmer at lunch and that turned out to be a great decision. (Water temp 72-75 clear, partly cloudy, SE wind 20mph that shifted to NE at sunset) A quick catch at the first stop went 4.01 on a Fire Craw Chatterbait from Z-Man Fishing Products The wind started kicking up pretty good so we looked around for a specific topography that produced the first fish: 5-10’ drop close to hard clay banks with heavy grass that wasn’t in the direct line of fire from that wind. I found a few spots that were close but couldn’t get any bites so I kept working a bank line out of the wind. Just before sunset I came around a main point and found a very large spawning flat cove with decent grass that was about a foot short of the surface. There was some surface baitfish activity going already so I busted out a Strike King Lure Company KVD Sexy Dawg in the Chrome Sexy Shad pattern. Second cast I landed a skinny 4.10 and not long after him I hooked up on a 6.98 that was busting at the seams ready for spawn. The wind increasing and daylight fading on a new-to-me lake pushed us to the ramp with fish still busting. At the end of the day logging 17+ pounds on four fish isn’t a horrible way to end a very long couple of weeks on the road. Glad to get home tomorrow!

Special recognition to the Schlotzsky's in Gilmer - I had never eaten at one of those and whoever made that turkey avocado sandwich should get a raise.

The announcement went live yesterday, so it’s official now.

I am truly humbled and honored to have been selected as the first Navy pro staff member with ArmyBassAnglers. It’s a privilege to stand alongside such a dedicated group of individuals who share a passion for both service and the sport of fishing. I deeply respect the mission and values of this incredible team and look forward to contributing in any way I can.

Thank you for the opportunity to represent the Navy within this outstanding community. I’m excited to work together to uphold our team motto of “SUPPORT. DEFEND. FISH.” that unites us all.

I have endless gratitude for the ones that supported me in this journey and am excited to share my adventures from this chapter of my life.

Dear Team,

I am thrilled to share that we have a new addition to our ArmyBassAnglers ProStaff—please join me in welcoming **Andy Woods**, a retired US Navy veteran! Andy is our very first Navy ProStaff member, and we couldn't be more excited to have him on board!

After 28 years of dedicated service, Andy recently retired from the Navy as a CWO4. He lives in Fort Worth, TX, with his wife Apryl, their three adult children, and his 90-year-old grandmother. Since retiring this year, Andy has been working remotely for Capstone Research Corporation, a defense contractor.

Joining the ArmyBassAnglers ProStaff has been a personal goal of Andy's for many years. He has watched all the Force-on-Force seasons and dreamed of standing alongside fellow anglers, representing the Navy with his own Skeeter boat. Fun fact: he is the Season 11 Force on Force Champion!

Andy brings a wealth of experience and a passion for fishing, along with a strong commitment to our mission and values. His dedication to excellence and teamwork aligns perfectly with the spirit of ArmyBassAnglers, and we are thrilled to have him on board. SUPPORT. DEFEND. FISH.

As a member of our ProStaff, Andy will be involved in various events and initiatives, so please take a moment to reach out and introduce yourselves. Let’s make sure he feels welcomed and supported as he transitions into this new role.

Thank you all for your continued dedication to ArmyBassAnglers, and let’s give Andy a warm welcome! 🎉

Bass Slingers smash fest on one of the hottest lakes in east Texas. It rained hard with crazy wind until the last hour but the fish were hitting all day. Made for a wild trip in the kayaks for sure. Lost some big girls but still put enough on the board to take the #1 spot in the ArmyBassAnglers Monthly Tournament on TourneyX.com.

Thanks White-Rock Blake Hennegan for hosting us.

Took Tanner out one more time before he heads back to prep for the school year. Today we hit Grapevine on an exploratory trip since I’ve never fished it. We found fish under docks, on rocks, and clinging tight to brush piles in 20’ of water. We didn’t get anything in less than 10’ all day. The Bass Slingers Soft Plastics Texas Hawg in red bug worked for my biggest bass, but Tanner had big fish of the day with a 6.8 pound carp that hit his Rage Tail worm. Flutter spoon jigging in 20-25’ resulted in a bunch of sand bass in the middle of the day.
