With the chances of some snow this evening, I'm going to go ahead and cancel practice. I think once it starts, it will continue for a few hours and don't want anyone caught in cruddy weather!
Few things coming up:
***We will continue having practice for anyone who wants to continue to swim through February 14. You don't have to come if you don't want to, but we'll offer it if you do!
***We are planning on hosting one more meet on Saturday Feb. 14th. It will be our last meet of the season and will be a quick one! I'm looking also to see if we can get into one more away meet before then so I'll keep you posted. I'll be sending out more information later about that meet.
***For those of you that have qualified for state - I am in the process of getting blocks of rooms reserved and should have that info before the end of the week!
***State swim - March 14 in Des Moines
***Regional Swim - March 28-29 in Minneapolis
***Emmetsburg Penguins Fish Fry - Friday April 3

I still need 7 more timers for Saturday and could use 1-2 more people for clerk of course. If your child is swimming, please sign up to help!

We have 32 swimmers signed up so far which is awesome! For the meet to run smoothly, we need lots of help! I hope to have entries sent out later tonight after practice. If you haven't signed your child up yet, please do so!

I am looking at getting us into another couple meets yet this season. We're looking at some dates the first few weeks in February.

We're also looking at adding a home meet on February 14. This would be a very short and quick meet and would have limited races. I'm working with Estherville to see if this date works for them. I want another opportunity for kids to swim!

We will continue to have practice for all age groups up until our last meet (Feb. 14). After that date, we will only have practice for those that have qualified for state.
