Cross-Country 5k-is Run at 6:00
Cyclcross Race 1 at 6:45. Race 2 follows. Any fitness.

Any bike. Anyone. Get in a hard training effort or just have some weeknight fun on the legendary Emmaus Cyclocross course. Each Thursday features two races, both are open to all categories. Race 1 (4 laps) starts at 6:30. Race 2 (3 laps) starts at or about 7:20. Entry fee: $15/week for two races. Number fee of $5 is charged once each season. Please patronize our sponsors: South Mountain Cycle and Cafe, Lehigh Valley's best bike shop. Blink Optical Boutique for glasses and eye care. Action Rental for equipment. Funk Brewing to quench your thirst. Kempton Excavating where their goal is your hole. Brandon Hanson State Farm Insurance for the barriers! Prizes awarded based on season-long rankings. The top 40 finishers score points.

This Saturday, September 26, is Sundown Rundown at the FSX course 🏃

What is it? It's a backyard that skips the slow part. Each lap has a set time to complete it, and if you miss the cutoff, you are eliminated from the race. Each lap, we regroup to start together, which makes it a social 5k with a bit of hustle. It's been designed to allow nearly anyone to complete the 5k, and even the 10k distance, before the pace accelerates.

Reg and sign in at 1:30 to 2:30
Runner meeting at 2:40
Start time: 3pm
Finish: when you're eliminated

We have a grill and a cooler available for post-race. Bring something for the grill if you're picky!

5th place for the 5k after Week 3: Darren Labenberg

Darren has been battling Cynthia Bartus for 5th the last two weeks, but after a successful Predictor Race, he was able to secure the spot after Week 3. A mixture of a good opening night, golden coins, and accurate predictions has given him the perfect position. Devan Bicher is 1 point ahead in 4th and Del Hawbaker is 3 points back in 6th.

There's plenty of racing left to do this season, so this is far from over.

Massive thanks to Kitli for the Week 3 Free Kids Night!

All kids 17 and under were free for the night, thanks to Kitli. This complemented our Blink Optical Boutique support of the 9-17 year olds to allow everyone a chance to try FSX for the night. We're grateful for the enthusiastic support for our junior community from both sponsors and we hope it means we've inspired a few new runners and riders!

Who's in 5th after Week 3 - Chris Schwarz!

Chris has been consistent the first three weeks, but he did very well at the Metronome race in Week 3, earning 4th place points. That helped move him up the standings to 5th from 7th this week. We're no BTA Sports but if we were looking at data predictions, Chris has a pretty solid chance at being competitive for 5th this year. Just don't forget to play the games along the way to really go for it!
