Champs!! Played up in 15/16 division World Series, swung wood in a metal bat event & we still bring it home! Boys played team baseball all weekend & are primed & ready for the WWBA in Hoover, AL next week.

Yesterday we lost. It wasn’t pretty. Early in the game the umpires had the wrong count and it cost us a run and potentially a big inning. After the game the field umpire asked to talk to our team which is rare. He told us they blew the call and he owned it. However what he did next left a lasting mark and we’re grateful the boys got the life lesson. He said he was a pro umpire and college coach and this would not be the last time this happened. He said the struggle of high level baseball just gets harder as you get older and that dealing with adversity was part of the game. He encouraged them to grind through getting behind even when mistakes are made because that’s life. Classy move and we’ll be better for it.

Good weekend for the squad down in NC playing the showcase. Enjoyed great facilities and competition. Played up & swung wood in a BBCOR event & still went 2-2 going 2-0 Sunday as the bats came alive with great pitching & defense. .morris
